Covering the video games industry since 2017, with experience in news, articles, lists, and reviews (and I blame The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for that).
If you are a fan of RPGs and want a third-person version: Tayná Garcia is a Brazilian journalist (but you can call her Tay) who ended up working with video games after finishing Zelda: Majora's Mask when she was a kid. With more than eight years of experience in the segment, she has been an assistant editor at Jovem Nerd and is currently a contributor at DualShockers and a writer for gaming magazines for Editora Europa. Oh, and she may like Hideo Kojima a bit too much.
The Deus Ex franchise is celebrated for its deep gameplay possibilities, with stealth being chief among them. That way, its titles encourage players to progress with careful planning and caution – and it appears that this same philosophy has been applied directly to the next game’s development schedule.

Aspyr Media, the studio behind the highly anticipated Deus Ex Remastered, has just announced that the updated version of Ion Storm’s immersive cyberpunk title has officially suffered a delay.
Deus Ex Remastered Slips Back Into Stealth Mode
In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), the developers of Deus Ex Remastered revealed that the game has been delayed indefinitely. So, at this time, the team is not providing a new release date.
As for the reason for the delay, according to the studio, it is that they heard what the community had to say and made the decision to postpone the project in order to “better meet expectations and deliver the best possible experience to players”.
In case you don’t remember, its announcement trailer was received with heavy criticism from players regarding the graphics, with many fans calling it “awful” and with a “plastic filter”, meaning that they will probably address these concerns.
Oh, and Aspyr also promised that new updates will be shared “at the right time”, and even confirmed that all players who pre-ordered the game will be fully refunded. You can check the full statement right below:
Deus Ex Remastered was previously slated to launch on February 5, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The title now continues development without a set release date or defined launch window.
As for the original Deus Ex, the game was launched in 2000 and stands as one of the pioneers of the immersive sim genre to this day, since it blended FPS, RPG, and stealth mechanics with unprecedented player choice and a complex cyberpunk conspiracy narrative.
