Outside of combat, the progression system is equally robust.

Resources gathered from dungeon runs can be invested back in town to upgrade buildings and unlock new features. Recruiting famous historical figures, forging powerful equipment, boosting party morale, and enhancing gear all provide meaningful long-term progression that makes future expeditions more manageable. The presentation is another highlight. Traditional Chinese ink-wash art blended with painterly textures, detailed combat effects, and atmospheric sound design create an immersive world inspired by classical Chinese folklore.

The aesthetic is especially appealing for players familiar with the genre’s cultural influences.
