No Sim is safe from the Royal Envoy

Sims 4 players have had a strange February. While limited-time events are nothing new for the game, the most recent Lost Legacies event brought with it a character that's become a specter in the lives of players everywhere: the Royal Envoy. She's meant to serve as a driving force behind the event's goals, but her constant presence has left Simmers feeling more haunted than helped — thankfully, the horrors are almost over.
The Lost Legacies event serves as a tie-in with the new Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack, where each week players are meant to investigate one of the royal families introduced in the DLC. To do so, they'll need the help of the Royal Envoy, who is incredibly easy to find (sometimes even illuminated by a literal sign in the sky), but seemingly impossible to shake, showing up at Sim's front doors and crashing their dates. There is no way to fully disable limited-time events in The Sims 4, and even if players utilize cheats to delete the Royal Envoy, she'll simply respawn.
As annoying as this has been for players, it's also been incredibly entertaining to see all the different ways the Royal Envoy has stalked Sims throughout the event. She's been spotted swimming in players' pools, sitting in on high school classes, and accompanying Sims on nursing home visits. One Reddit user wrote, "Ive locked my doors so she cant enter and all she does is use my out door grill and swim in my pool all day."
Players have been coping with the Royal Envoy's constant presence in different ways. Some have accepted their fate and simply played through the event (though in some cases she seems to take up permanent residence in the world), or tried to romance her. Others have taken more drastic approaches, like one Reddit user playing a heavily-modded version of the game who shared a post titled "Turned the Royal Envoy into a toddler cos she was ruining my crack den."
Thankfully, this Sims version of It Follows is almost over for players. The fourth week of Lost Legacies will conclude the week of March 2, though there will be a grace period for players to finish all the event's rewards until March 16. In only a few short weeks, the Royal Envoy's reign of terror will be over.
