The Switch 2 is currently $450. In just a few months, it’s going up to $500. But some lucky few can currently get it for just $400 thanks to a new deal that will no doubt sell out fast.
Amazon-owned deals platform Woot is currently selling the Nintendo Switch 2 at its regular price, but it’s letting people who use the code “GIFT26” get $22 off. Better yet, if it’s your first time shopping on Woot, you can get $50 off. The deal is good until July 25 or while supplies last, which I’m guessing won’t be long.
A $400 Switch 2 was one of the best holiday deals last Christmas, almost as good as the $450 Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle that popped up briefly around that same time. It is also likely to be the cheapest we see for the rest of 2026, and potentially even beyond that.
Nintendo is raising the price of the Switch 2 from the $450 it launched at to $500 starting September 1. That’s due to pressure from a combination of market forces that range from President Trump’s tariffs to an AI arms race that is spiking the prices of gaming hardware components like memory and storage.
Experts don’t expect RAMageddon to end any time soon, with some predicting prices will keep going higher until at least 2028. By then, who knows what the Switch 2 will cost? My guess is way more than $400.
