Pokémon plushies tend to sell like hotcakes, and the latest release is no different. A trio of new stuffed Pokémon tied to this year's delightful life sim Pokopia were only just announced, but are quickly selling out. Act fast if any of the remaining availble plushies strike your fancy.

The three releases are adorable plush figures of Peakychu, Mosslax, and Professor Tangrowth. They were only announced yesterday, June 24, but already the Peakychu plushie is sold out. It makes sense that she is the first one to get snapped up, as the Pokémon's surprisingly heartwarming story in the recent Switch 2 game made her a beloved character. That isn't to say the Mosslax and Professor Tangrowth plushies aren't also incredibly cute, but it is always hard to beat out the popularity of any Pikachu variety. While you can't get your hands on Peakychu anymore, the other two are still available through the Pokémon Center website and priced at $34.99.

There are also a plethora of Jirachi branded pieces of merch alongside the plushies. While not officially stated, the release of these items does coincide with the new "Wish Upon a Jirachi" event in Pokopia that runs from June 23 starting at 5 a.m. until July 8 at 4:59 a.m., based on your Nintendo Switch 2's console time. The available Jirachi merch is all focused towards sleep, with pajamas and blankets making up the majority of what is on offer.

Pokémon Pokopia was released on March 5, taking a new approach to the series by embracing the life-sim genre made popular by games like Animal Crossing and Dragon Quest Builders. We found it to be a wonderful, if sometimes lengthy, game, saying in our review that, "If you can find the patience for its litany of tedious chores and slowpoke pacing, Pokémon Pokopia serves as an earnest reminder to nurture our world and all the little things in it."

Developers Game Freak and Omega Force have already laid out further plans for post-release DLC. During the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, the team announced a new biome, Bubbly Basin, will release in August. It will also introduce the move, Dive, which allows players to breathe underwater. The region itself seems to be based on Cerulean City from the Kanto region, which means it could be relatively large. While Pokopia doesn't strictly follow the geography of past games, there are a lot of similarity, so Bubbly Basin could further include parts of routes 24, 25, and even 5. Ideally, the introduction of Dive also gives players the ability to explore watery regions of the base game as well. Hopefully, Bubbly Basin will avoid being just another terrible water level in video games.

Pokémon Pokopia is available on Nintendo Switch 2.
