Latest Fortnite Leak Confirms Lara Croft Is Returning, And Here's How Much She'll Cost
Lara Croft is entering Fortnite the second time, and it's said to be happening this week.
In a recent Q&A session with Crystal Dynamics’ Head of Studio Scot Amos and Game Director Will Kerslake confirmed some details about Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, including its difficulty and its connection to Amazon’s Tomb Raider TV show.
There Could Be Two Lara Crofts In The Same Franchise
Image Via Crystal DynamixAmos and Kerslake have left the door open for a connection to the upcoming Tomb Raider TV show, turning it into a full cross-media franchise. This means two possible incarnations of Lara Croft at the same time, with Alix Wilton Regan portraying her in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst, while Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner is the new Lara in the show.
Those who are worried that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis won't be authentic to the original can at least be assured that it will reflect the difficulty of the original Tomb Raider. Amos and Kerslake confirmed that the original's deadliness remains intact, as seen in the first trailer shown at The Game Awards.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis isn’t the first time that the original Tomb Raider has been remade on modern platforms, but it looks to be the most polished to date, with gorgeous visuals that are a world away from the original PlayStation. Hopefully, it will live up to the legacy of Lara Croft, who has seen her fair share of duds over the years and is overdue for a genuine revival.
