The first DLC expansion for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 has been revealed, and it finally lets players wield guns, the same way they would in a first-person shooter.
In Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, the player takes on the role of Phyre, an elder vampire who possesses all manner of supernatural abilities that can tear opponents apart. They also possess telekinesis, which they can use to control weapons from afar. Surprisingly, Phyre never actually picks up a gun, instead choosing to haphazardly wield it using telekinesis, despite this being a Masquerade breach.

Image Via Paradox InteractiveThe Loose Cannon DLC stars Benny Muldoon, the Brujah Sheriff, who is on the hunt for Thin-Blood vampires at the start of the story. In Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, Benny is actually the game's first boss, one who uses their supernatural strength and speed to match Phyre's powers. The player can choose Benny's fate, but it's not revealed whether Benny survives the story.
In Loose Cannon, the player will get to explore Benny's side of the story, which involves events that occurred before the start of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. This means Benny gets to encounter Fabien, the trapped personality within Phyre's brain, before he perishes.

The trailer for Loose Cannon shows Benny using a gun, much like a character in a conventional first-person shooter. This will be a godsend for those who disliked how firearms were handled in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, as the player instantly discharged all the bullets, making it hard to aim.
Fans won't have to wait long for Loose Cannon, as it's launching on April 27, meaning it's nearly time to return to Seattle and settle some scores with the Kindred.
