Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom Comes To Mobile This Year, Boltgun 2 Demo Out Now On PC

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a fantastic, action-packed take on the sci-fi series, delivering a throwback boomer-shooter experience that feels like it was ripped out of the '90s. If you're looking to spend even more of your time destroying enemies of the Emperor, you'll be happy to know that a mobile spin-off--Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom--will be hitting mobile devices this year.

Announced during Warhammer Skulls 2026, Boltgun Boom is being developed by Nitro Games, and it's described as a "premium retro FPS featuring different chapters of the Boltgun series." The teaser video makes it look pretty much indistinguishable from its console and PC siblings, which shouldn't come as a huge surprise given the '90s-era aesthetic. You can pre-register on both iOS and Android as we approach the game's release later in 2026.

But that's not all Boltgun fans can get excited about. The demo for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is available right now on Steam, with the full game also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can try out two levels in the demo, which features multiple playable characters this time: Malum Caedo, who plays similarly to the first game, and the more agile Nyra Veyrath.
