What to expect from Arknights: Endfield

Arknights: Endfield is a gacha RPG with base-building mechanics. You play as the Endministrator, the head of the Endfield Industries, who has just lost their memory and must, along with their companions (a.k.a. employees), fight to protect Talos-II. To do so, the Endmin relies on their own fighting abilities as well as the power of technology.

As you explore Talos-II and progress in the campaign, you will need pieces of equipment, materials, and consumables. To obtain everything you need, you can build a factory where various machines are supplied by intricate production lines. While creating the largest and most complete factory is not mandatory to progress in the campaign, finding the most optimal layout for your factory is part of the challenge of being an Endministrator. It's, however, one that you don't need to face alone, since in the Arknights: Endfield official release special program, the developers explained that players can create blueprints of their factories and share them with other Endministrators.

But the life of an Endmin is not only about managing a factory and expanding their company. You will get your hands dirty too. In Arknights: Endfield, you face various types of enemies with a group of up to four characters. Following the traditional character archetypes in RPGs, some characters are great damage dealers, while others are outstanding buffers or healers. The action-based combat is simple but it affords some interesting interactions between characters whose attacks can trigger follow-up attacks from the party members.
