Zootopia 2 had the biggest debut ever for an animated movie, earning $556.4 million in its opening weekend. The sequel to 2016’s buddy cop comedy Zootopia is great for all ages, nesting a powerful message in a flurry of jokes and fast-paced action sequences packed with so much detail that you’ll want to rewatch the film to catch everything. But when will Zootopia 2 be available on streaming? Here’s our guess for when you’ll be able to visit the wild world of anthropomorphic animals in your living room.

When will Zootopia 2 be available to rent or purchase digitally?

Disney typically waits about two months between theatrical and digital release. Tron: Ares hit theaters on Oct. 10 and got its digital release on Dec. 2, while The Fantastic Four: First Steps made its VOD debut on Sept. 23 after opening on July 25. That means Zootopia 2 will probably hop to VOD in late January.

When will Zootopia 2 be available on Blu-ray/DVD?

Disney tends to wait three to four weeks between its digital and physical releases. The Fantastic Four: First Steps got its physical release on Oct. 14, while Tron: Ares will be available on 4K UHD, DVD, and Blu-ray on Jan. 6, 2025. That means you’ll probably see a special feature-packed Zootopia 2 physical release in February.

When will Zootopia 2 be available to stream on Disney Plus?

Let's compare it some other major Disney films from 2025. The Fantastic Four: First Steps launched on the streaming service on Nov. 5, just over three months after its July 25 debut, while Thunderbolts* arrived on Disney Plus on Aug. 27, about three months after its May 2 theatrical release. That means Zootopia 2 will probably be available on Disney Plus a little over three months after its premiere, arriving on the streaming platform by the end of February or in early March.
