Are you wracking your brain while trying to find all files in Resident Evil Requiem? There are 75 documents placed neatly in various locations throughout the campaign. Due to how the perspective switches between two characters--Grace and Leon--you need to be mindful of important information that you might miss. This article has all the details to help you finish this challenge so you can earn the "Case Closed" trophy/achievement. Just remember that there will be spoilers ahead.
Note: To save some time, we encourage you to do manual saves upon reaching points of no return in the campaign. We've also got a Resident Evil Requiem guides hub if you need help with other in-game features.
Wrenwood Hotel - Files map

The map above shows the locations of the Resident Evil Requiem files in Wrenwood Hotel. The first area of the campaign has you playing as Grace. Eventually, the perspective will switch to Leon’s.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #1 - Wrenwood City Guide

There’s a bulletin board in front of a barber shop. Wait for the NPC to walk away and inspect the city guide.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #2 - Investigation Report

Once you arrive at the Wrenwood Hotel Bar & Lounge, you’ll be prompted to check the FBI dossier.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #3 - Hotel Pamphlet

Found on the floor of the Lobby next to a trolley.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #4 - Notice of Closure

Inside a desk drawer in the Office.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #5 - Alyssa’s Journal

This particular file is actually required for progression. After the flashback cutscene, go back down the lobby and grab it from behind the painting in the Lobby.
Wrenwood Hotel: File #6 - Report on Victor Gideon

After Grace’s segment, you’ll control Leon, who has to fend off several infected on the streets of Rhodes Hill. You’ll also receive this document automatically.
Care Center Nurse’s Station - Files map

You take control of Grace once more in a smaller section of the Care Center. Note that, even if you can explore most of the facility later, you won’t be able to return to this area once you grab the fuse in Room 204.
Care Center Nurse’s Station: File #1 - Progress Notes

On a table in the very same room where you regain control of Grace.
Care Center Nurse’s Station: File #2 - Note on Cardboard Box

Found inside a closet in Room 203. You need to grab the Lighter from the other end of the hallway so you can see in the dark.
Care Center First Floor - Files map

After another segment as Leon, you get to play as Grace once more. This time, you’ll be able to explore the Care Center proper.
The map above shows the locations of the Resident Evil Requiem files on the first floor of the facility. Do note that we’ve numbered these to keep things organized. However, you won’t be able to access certain areas until you’ve (a) checked out the second floor and (b) obtained certain keycards and ID wristbands.
Care Center First Floor: Files #1 and 2 - Care Center Pamphlet and Whiteboard Scrawl

Both of these files are in the Guard Office at the Central Hall. This will be your initial hub since it has a save point/typewriter and an item box:
- File 1: Care Center Pamphlet - On the coffee table by the sofa.
- File 2: Whiteboard Scrawl - Written on the whiteboard next to the steps that lead to the Medication Room--i.e. Emily’s room.
Care Center First Floor: File #3 - Blood Compound Synthesis

Obtain the East Wing Keycard from the Parlor Room. Then, make your way to the Blood Lab and grab this file off the desk. This is also where you can pick up the Blood Collector, which allows Grace to craft more items.
Care Center First Floor: File #4 - Safe Replacements

From the Blood Lab, circle around the corridor to gain entry to the Waiting Room. The document is next to an opened safe. In fact, it tells you where the other safes are located in the building.
Care Center First Floor: File #5 - Victor’s Journal Entry

Obtain the ID Wristband (Level 1) from the second floor of the East Wing. Once you have that, return to the Blood Lab and unlock the door.
Care Center First Floor: File #6 - Construction Notice

Once you have the ID Wristband (Level 1), open the door in the hallway next to the Pantry. This leads to the Custodian’s Office. Read the notice on the wall to add it to your tally. Note that the Custodian’s Office has a save point and an item box, too.
Care Center First Floor: Files #7 and 8 - Double Mutation and Nurse’s Log

These Resident Evil Requiem files can be found on the ransacked desks between the Isolation Ward and Security Manager’s Office. However, you need to acquire ID Wristband (Level 2) to gain entry to this place.
Note: Be sure to acquire these documents before you head down to the basement.
Care Center Second Floor - Files map

All right, we need to investigate the second floor to find more documents. Just bear in mind how Grace would progress through this level:
- You can get the West Wing Keycard from the Guard Office/Medication Room on the first floor. You should be able to go up to the second floor of the West Wing, where you’ll find Files #1 to 4.
- Eventually, once you have the East Wing Keycard, you can grab Files #5 to 12.
- Later, upon picking up ID Wristband (Level 1), you can read Files #13 to 15.
Care Center Second Floor: File #1 - Folded Note

Found inside a technician’s labcoat that’s hanging on a dresser in the Gallery.
Care Center Second Floor: Files #2, 3, and 4 - Chairman’s Note, Copy of an Email, and Note to Chairman

All three of these files in Resident Evil Requiem are located in the Chairman’s Office, which is where you’ll find a Puzzle Box:
- File 2: Chairman’s Note - Get the Pencil and shade the paper on the desk to discover the combination.
- File 3: Copy of an Email to a Manager - On a table in the waiting area.
- File 4: Note to the Chairman - Inside the trashcan in the office area.
Care Center Second Floor: Files #5, 6, 7, and 8 - Lead Researcher’s Message and Pictures

All of these files can be found in the Lead Researcher’s Office in the East Wing. Check the letter and pictures in the room. These are clues that will help you decipher the combination for the second Puzzle Box.
Care Center Second Floor: File #9 - Examination Room Safe Code

Just past the Lead Researcher’s Office, you’ll spot ID Wristband (Level 1). However, a monstrous creature, Chunk, will appear just as you approach. Run away and lure it back down to the first floor.
Once the coast is clear, return to the locker area to the side of the corridor. The document is on a bench.
Care Center Second Floor: File #10 - Patient Medical Records

Found in the Conference Room, which is also where you encounter another Singer zombie. Likewise, this is where you obtain the corrosive needed to remove the latch on the Puzzle Box.
Care Center Second Floor: File #11 and 12 - Spencer’s Research I and Unlocking the Organ Transport Box

Return to the Lead Researcher’s Office and melt the Puzzle Box’s latch. Then, using the clues from the photos, input this combination: Star-Sun-Moon-Sun.
Grab the Sun Quartz key item and read both notes in the journal to add them to your overall tally. The second file is actually part of a mini-puzzle that nets you the ID Wristband (Level 2).
Care Center Second Floor: Files #13, 14, and 15 - Bar & Lounge Safe Code, Background Check, and Disposal Team Report

All three files are in the same general area--i.e. The 2F Office and Records Room:
- Files 13 and 14 are on a couple of desks in the Office. You might spot a Lockpick and Mr. Raccoon nearby, too.
- File 15 is in a cardboard box/filing box in the Records Room.
Care Center Second Floor and Third Floor (Leon) - Files map

There are some additional Resident Evil Requiem files that you can obtain once you’re back in Leon’s shoes. Bear in mind that Leon can use his Hatchet to pry open cabinets with warped doors.
Care Center (Leon): File #1 - Satiety Suppression Medical Records

Found on a desk just before the Attic. Be sure to read it since, once you squeeze through the gap that leads to the Attic, you won’t be able to return to this area.
Care Center (Leon): File #2 - Basement Safe Code

Inside a cabinet just past the Attic but before the steps that lead to the Attic Storage. Make sure you tag this file, since it contains the combination to a safe that only Grace can access during the next section of the campaign.
Care Center (Leon): File #3 - Dishwasher’s Note

After leaving the Attic, you’ll find yourself in the Chairman’s Office on the second floor. Pry open the cabinet in the hallway.
Care Center (Leon): Files #4 and 5 - Special Directive for Raccoon City and Report on Raccoon City Syndrome

In the Lounge, Leon will have to battle a whole slew of Blister Heads--i.e. previously slain infected that have mutated. Take them out and interact with the elevator to receive these two dossiers.
Care Center Basement - Files map

These are the Resident Evil Requiem files found in the depths of the facility. You can check our Care Center Basement walkthrough so you know where to obtain other important items here.
Note: Be sure to grab all the files before you place all three Joint Plugs in the main generator. You won’t be able to revisit this area past that point.
Care Center Basement: File #1 - Staff Member’s Last Words

Found beside a corpse near the spot where Grace fell.
Care Center Basement: File #2 - Operation to Eliminate the Girl

Found inside the Security Room, which is pretty much the only guaranteed safe area in this zone. It has a save point and an item box.
Care Center Basement: File #3 - Unlocking the Cells

This is on a wall in the Holding Cells area, right by the main generator. It explains where you can find the other Joint Plugs.
Care Center Basement: File #4 - Technician’s Note

Found in a small nook in the Inspection area. If you read the aforementioned file as Leon earlier, you should be able to open the safe using this combination: Right 60, Left 40, Right 80. Your reward here reveals all Mr. Raccoon collectibles in the Care Center/Rhodes Hill.
Care Center Basement: File #5 - Security Guard’s Report

Crawl through the ventilation shaft in the Inspection area and make your way to the Workshop to get this file. It’s also right next to a Mr. Raccoon statuette.
Care Center Courtyard - Files map

Once you exit the Central Door, you’ll reach the Care Center Courtyard. There are a couple of files inside the small house.
Care Center Courtyard: File #1 - Visitor Record

Check the notebook on the table just across from the item box.
Care Center Courtyard: File #2 - Note Regarding Research Results

Enter the VIP Suite and check the folder on the desk. When you’re ready, pick up the wine bottle and rotate the logo so you can get the Double Helix Model key item. Use it to activate the elevator to the Research Facility.
Care Center Research Facility - Files map

All right, we’ve got more Resident Evil Requiem files in the Research Facility deep below the grounds of the Care Center. Try to grab these due to certain events that may transpire.
Care Center Research Facility: File #1 - Spencer’s Research II

After riding the elevator down to the Research Facility, you should find this file on a desk in Reception. This room also has a save point and an item box.
Care Center Research Facility: File #2 - Subject 170 Record

Make your way to the other side of Collection & Testing. You should spot a yellow brown folder on a gurney.
Note: Read this document as soon as you can. A bit later, once a certain incident happens, you won’t be able to interact with this object even though it’s clearly visible.
Care Center Research Facility: File #3 - Grace Ashcroft Blood Analysis

Past the Development area, you’ll come across a lone desk with a computer and this document.
Water Treatment Plant: File - Roof Hatch Manual

There’s one file in the Water Treatment Plant. It’s pretty hard to miss. It’s in the same chamber where Grace leaves Emily behind so she can handle a foe. The document is on a table between a typewriter/save point and an item box.
East Raccoon City - Files map

You can obtain six more files in East Raccoon City. At a certain point, you’ll have to go to an underground section, which leads to the opposite side of the chasm along the main thoroughfare.
East Raccoon City: Files #1 and 2: Report on Raccoon City Incident and Raccoon City Incident Newspaper

Both of these files in Resident Evil Requiem are acquired in quick succession:
- File 1 is added to your tally as soon as Leon arrives in Raccoon City.
- File 2 comes from a newspaper on the ground.
East Raccoon City: File #3 - Orders for the Engineer Corps

This file is on a desk in the Central Camp. It has a save point and, more importantly, a supply box. The supply box lets you purchase new weapons and upgrades for Leon in exchange for credits.
East Raccoon City: File #4 - Battery Storage Locations

Plastered on the fuse box in the flooded Underground Parking Garage.
East Raccoon City: File #5 - Inventory List

Upon exiting the Underground Parking Garage, a cutscene will play. You’ll also receive the BSAA Container Key. The note itself is inside the first container near the dead agents.
East Raccoon City: File #6 - Engineer Corps Notes

Climb to the rooftop of Cedarbrook Apartments and take out the infected manning the mortars. Once all the hostiles are gone, open the military crate to grab a part of the detonator, along with this note.
Raccoon City Center/RPD - Files map

Leon's return to Raccoon Police Department should bring back fond memories for those who’ve played the previous games. This area happens to be filled with tons of Easter eggs, too. In any case, you can refer to the map above to see the locations of more Resident Evil Requiem files in RPD.
Note: Several of these files are actually part of Barry’s Scavenger Hunt.
RPD: File #1 - RPD Perimeter Report

On a military crate in the 1F Main Hall. It’s next to the goddess statue.
RPD: File #2 - Top Secret Operation

We don’t want to spoil what’s written on this notebook, but it’s on Marvin Branagh’s desk in the 1F West Office.
RPD: File #3 - Record of Events

Plastered on the board in the 1F Operations Room. The survivors whose names are written on the board are actually members of Capcom’s localization team.
RPD: File #4, 5, and 6 - Barry’s To-Do List and Scavenger Hunt Clues

These clues are all part of Barry’s Scavenger Hunt, and they’re in the 2F STARS Office:
- File 4: Barry’s To-Do List - On Barry’s desk at the left-hand side upon entering the room.
- File 5: Scavenger Hunt Clue 1 - Inside Chris’ jacket that’s hanging on the wall.
- File 6: Scavenger Hunt Clue 2 - Inside the locker at the right-hand side.
RPD: File #7 - Library Card

This is technically still part of Barry’s Scavenger Hunt, even though it yields a different reward. That’s because Barry’s To-Do List mentions a lost book that was borrowed by the captain. That captain is none other than Wesker, so check his small office nearby.
Interact with the photo of the STARS team, then open the drawer. A library card should magically appear.
RPD: File #8 - Photograph

This Resident Evil Requiem file is in the 3F Library and it only shows up once you’ve checked the aforementioned Library Card. Assuming you’ve done just that, go up the steps in the Library and cross the gap to the opposite side. You should see an interaction prompt when you go near the bookshelf. Open the book to see a recurring Easter egg and proof that Wesker’s a creep.
RPD: File #9 - Guide Pamphlet

This pamphlet is in the 2F balcony along the eastern part of the building. You won’t be able to access the area immediately. Here’s a quick summary:
- When you head further into the East Wing of RPD, you’ll trigger a cutscene.
- This leads to a segment that takes place in the Orphanage. We discuss this in the next section of our guide.
- Once you regain control of Leon, run like hell as you avoid a certain enemy.
- After completing the objective, you should be able to check out this pamphlet on the second floor.
Orphanage - Files map

There are a few Resident Evil Requiem files in the Orphanage. Mind you, you have to read these documents during this segment. Once you’re done with this part, you won’t be able to replay it unless you made a backup save before Leon went to the East Wing of RPD.
Orphanage: File #1 - Toe Tag

Found in the Crypt. Push the lid of the coffin to find this item.
Orphanage: Files #2 and 3 - Series 60 Results and New Researcher's Notebook

Both of these files are on the desk in the Research Lab. Make sure you read both of them before you go to the Meeting Room.
Note: We’re approaching the end of the campaign now. Be ready for major spoilers.
ARK (Leon) - Files map

The ARK is the last major area in the campaign. This part involves the ol’ perspective switch feature. Initially, you control Leon, so try to grab these files when you can.
ARK (Leon): File #1 - N0-AH Status Report

Investigate the terminal in the Staff Room, which also has your first save point/supply box in this facility.
ARK (Leon): Files #2, 3, and 4 - Product Catalog 1, Product Catalog 2, and Raccoon City Bioweapon Research Report

Thankfully, all three of these collectibles can be found in the same room. Just read the terminals in the Guest Lounge.
ARK (Grace) - Files map

After a cutscene in Central Refining System: Pandora, the perspective switches to Grace once more. You can acquire six files just prior to the conclusion of the campaign.
ARK (Grace): File #1 - Access Log 51st Assembly Minutes

Check the terminal in the Monitor Control Room. There’s also a locked safe and a crafting recipe here that lets you make Bottles of Acid.
ARK (Grace): Files #2 and 3 - Sterilization Chamber Safe and Monitor Control Room Safe

Both these files in the Bioweapon Repository have the safe combinations you need to obtain more loot. That said, this area is crawling (pun intended) with Lickers. You can lure a few of them, before tossing a Bottle of Acid to melt their bodies.
- File 2: Sterilization Chamber - Inside the Umbrella cargo pod near the staircase that leads back to the Anteroom.
- File 3: Monitor Control Room - Inside another cargo pod at the right-hand side of the chamber.
ARK (Grace): Files #4, 5, and 6

All three files can be found in the same room: The Archives. You gain access to this chamber upon obtaining the Animus Orb and Noblesse Orb key items.
- File 4: Access Log 1st Assembly Minutes - Inspect a monitor at the right-hand side of the chamber.
- File 5 and 6: Alyssa’s Interview Notes and Letter from Patrick - Interact with the central console when you’re ready. After the cutscene, you’ll automatically receive these files.
That does it for our guide on where to find all files in Resident Evil Requiem. As mentioned earlier, completing the whole tally nets you the “Case Closed” trophy/achievement. It’s also a challenge that yields 3,000 points.
If you’re still looking for other collectibles, you can hop over to our Mr. Raccoon memoriams guide. Lastly, if you plan on tackling other objectives, you should take a look at our bonus content/challenges guide.
