Far Far West always seems to have something hidden on every map. All those secrets are pretty different, like the Snowman quest in the Far Far North, so it can be tough to keep track of what exactly is going on.
Another of these pesky secrets to uncover while enjoying some of this co-op exploration game is the Medallions hidden throughout the Canyon map. While certainly not as time-consuming as something like the Cacti Quest in the Desert, it might take you a minute to complete.
10 FPS Games That Reward Exploration
There's plenty of goodies to be found if you just look through your scope.
In this guide, we'll cover where to find all the Medallions in Far Far West and how to complete their respective challenges. This might arguably be the most beneficial secret quest in the entire game, given the payout for completing it.
Completing the Medallion Quest
Completing this quest will require you to go all over the Canyon map and complete some smaller objectives first. It's a little different from other quests because each Medallion is different and doesn't follow the same logic.
To complete this quest, you'll need to find the four Medallions scattered around the map and return them to their rightful spot. It's fairly straightforward, but that doesn't mean it'll be easy to complete.
Bobby's Medallion
In the northern part of the map, you should see a place where the river flows along the side of a cliff. If you jump down there and look north, you'll see a large mine that seems to be blocked by some rocks.
Grab the dynamite there and light it up before chucking it at the rocks. You'll need to blow away enough of the rocks before you can get far enough inside to grab the medallion.
Sweaty's Medallion
Just along the southernmost river, you'll see a spot where the river forks. Here, you'll notice some disturbed land and a little shack that has a bunch of shovels all around it.
You'll have to dig up your medallion by trying out all the spots with disturbed dirt. If you head directly south-east of the shack, you'll find a spot out by the water. This spot will house the medallion you're after.
Hawkeye's Medallion
This is probably the one you've seen the most whenever you're running all over the Canyon. It's got a lot going on, so you've probably either completed it or gone by it a few times.
It's really simple: shoot all the targets and open the safe. They're scattered all around the area, but you should be able to see pretty much all of them from right around the safe. Once you get them all, the safe will open with the medallion inside.
13 Best Non-Competitive Co-op Games
Whether you're playing with a partner or a friend, sometimes, the best times in gaming are sharing it with someone else.
Sheriff's Medallion
This is the last one you should grab, mostly because it's where they all need to go anyway. When you have the three other medallions, head to just below the center of the map.
There will be a station where all the tracks converge, and in an opening in the cliff face, you'll see a large stone door with the Sheriff next to it. Grab the medallion from his corpse and put them all in their respective slots.
You don't need to guess or anything, since the game will automatically put them in the right slot.
Rewards
Unlike the other quests, you will actually receive a pretty hefty reward for completing this one. On top of the Joker, you'll also get a ton of gold, usually around about 300 or so, depending on the difficulty you're playing on.
For completing this quest, you'll receive:
- Pick Pick Joker — +5% chance on hit to spawn damaging pickaxes on the target.
- Approximately 300 gold
If you're just messing around on a mission in the Canyon, it could be a good idea to knock this out while you run around. It'll provide some solid gains in a relatively safe environment.
While Far Far West might not go down as one of the best FPS games, it still has plenty on offer to keep you entertained for a lot of hours. The adventure isn't over just yet, as there's still plenty to do in this rootin' tootin' game.
