With the recent release of Resident Evil Requiem, players are finally diving into the scariest entry Resident Evil has seen yet. It's unnerving and uncanny in so many ways, but mainly, it's a fantastically good time above all else.

There aren't too many puzzles in the game, though, and any that exist are pretty cut-and-dry. They're fetch quests to get certain items so we can complete something that needs all these items.

So, naturally, we need to find artificial organs for an organless undead corpse.

Horror fans are eating good, and 2026 is looking to be another year of fine dining with these upcoming titles.

This corpse has an important wristband that we need in order to access more of the map, so unfortunately, we have to be brave.

While it's technically not a hard puzzle, it's easy to get turned around and lost in the care center, which can frustrate players who are just trying to get from Point A to Point B — especially if they're low on resources.

Even more so, this is something that ends up being pretty meticulous, requiring a lot of tedious work and backtracking in true Resident Evil fashion.

Where to Find the Organless Corpse

Watch Out for Zombie Doctors

RE Requiem Organless Corpse

In the Examination Room of Rhodes Hill Care Center, there's a corpse that's strapped to a table, missing a heart and lungs. Considering that it's wearing a Level 2 Clearance Wristband that we need to access the Isolation Ward, that's suddenly important.

Of course, instead of just trying to cut the straps away and then take the wristband without disturbing the (un)dead, we have to find the missing organs and play surgeon. Maybe Grace is something of a mad scientist herself.

Regardless, when you return with the organs (either one at a time or with both of them), be warned that enemies are suddenly spawning and active, despite the first time you see the room being completely clear of zombies. It's even worse once the Blister Heads are unlocked, because the Treatment Room spawns one without fail.

So, if you do not want to make any noise, know that there are zombie doctors that need to be taken care of (and enemies can't hear the hemolytic injector).

Where to Find the Artificial Organs

Organization is Just too Easy

The Artificial Heart can be found in the Cold Storage room, hanging up on some hooks. However, trying to turn the valve wheel to get into the room will result in failure, meaning that you'll actually have to find an alternative way to twist the door open. It doesn't help that during this, The Butcher is making his rounds — so if you don't have Requiem, you'll need to remember to hide.

Thankfully, you can open the door with a wrench, and you can find the wrench in the Custodian's Office, just know that you'll need Lv.1 Clearance in order to get there. You get that wristband in the hallway between the Lead Researcher's Office and the Conference Room, but get ready for a surprise.

The Artificial Lungs are actually located in the Organ Transport Box, which can be found in the Garage. Shortly after getting it, you deal with a zombie driving a bulldozer, and you need to handle that before you can mess with the box.

However, the organ box is locked with a weird code that needs to be done in a specific order, otherwise you just have a gnarly paper weight. And finding that code isn't anything simple, either.

How to Open the Organ Transport Box

A Step-by-Step How-To

The code for the Organ Transport Box is not obvious in the slightest. In fact, you have to solve the Sun Puzzle Box in the Lead Researcher's Office (which you can't even open without a corrosive, which can be found in the Conference Room) to learn what the code even is.

After dealing with all the zombies in the Conference Room, getting the corrosive, and using the corrosive on the Sun Puzzle Box lock, you're finally able to actually attempt the puzzle. One of the files gives you a hint, but the code to open the box is sun, star, moon, sun.

Once the puzzle box is open you can grab a leather-bound journal that has two files inside, one of which is the file Unlocking the Organ Transport Box.

In the file, it states that the first step is to switch the circular dial from auto to handheld. The second step is to raise the button on the long dial to the center, with the third and fourth steps being which switches needed flipping (the 3rd and 5th ones). After doing this in order, the final step is to turn the circular dial back to auto, and the box will open.

With that, you'll have both Artificial Organs to be able to get access into the Isolation Ward.
