In ARC Raiders, the mechanized alien invaders known as ARCs are relentless and difficult to defeat, but with a little human ingenuity, we've learned how to use their own parts against them.

ARC Raiders: Best Guns Tier List (2026)
Don't judge a gun by its rarity. Here's an in-depth weapon tier list for ARC Raiders, including tips & tricks.
If you're looking to take down the biggest ARCs in the game, The Queen, and The Matriarch, you'll need more than a free loadout. For these behemoths, powerful armor-piercing weapons, stacks of ammunition, and lots of explosives are required to get the job done, but getting the parts needed to craft these items is easier said than done.
In this guide, I'll be showing you where to find ARC Motion Cores and which are one of the most important resources to collect, as they can be used to craft magnetic accelerators, launcher ammo, and wolfpacks.
Bastion & Bombardier
These walking ARCs might not be fast on their feet, but once they lock onto you, you've only got a split second to get out of the way. Targeting the yellow joints on their legs will eventually stun them for a short period, allowing you to deal damage safely.
Bastions and bombardiers can be found on most maps, and will have many searchable parts to look through when defeated, and ARC motion cores will be plentiful. I recommend the Buried City Map, or Dam Battlegrounds.
Rocketeer & Leaper
This pair of ARCs are capable of covering large distances in the blink of an eye, and can quickly overwhelm a Raider if they're caught out in the open. Defeating the Rocketeer and the Leaper is all about positioning, so your best bet is to find a building with a good vantage point and deal damage to them from behind cover.
For the Rocketeer, focus on one thruster at a time. Once you destroy a thruster, the Rocketeer will become unstable and has the potential to crash on its own. You can also use showstopper grenades to stun them and bring them to the ground.
As long as you're inside a building, Leapers are fairly easy to beat. Shoot at the main body with the big red eye, and use explosives to get the job done quickly. The Dam Battlegrounds is a good place to find both of these ARCs, and their wreckage will yield a good number of ARC motion cores.
Queen & Matriarch
If you don't mind the danger, one of the best ways to get stockpiles of ARC motion cores is from the wreckage of the Queen and the Matriarch.
Luckily, you don't have to fully defeat them to fill your inventory with valuable resources, as their leg armor (seen above) will fall to the ground when enough damage is dealt. These leg pieces have a high chance at having ARC motion cores as well as legendary reactors.
Once the leg pieces fall to the ground, you can use smoke grenades to retrieve your loot without being blown up or stomped on.
Baron & Rocketeer Husks
The earth's surface has become a graveyard of ARC wreckage half buried in the sand—a testament to raider resiliency. These crash sites, known as husks (seen above), are still a valuable source of materials, and can often contain ARC motion cores.
In the rotating event, husk graveyard (seen above), there will be an abundance of electrified husks scattered around the map. This is a great opportunity to farm ARC motion cores.
Probes & Couriers
Another easy way to collect ARC motion cores is by looting probes and couriers (seen above), which can be found on every map except for Stella Montis.
The probe, which descends from the sky, can be breached and will have three searchable containers, with the chance of dropping, ARC motion cores, ARC circuitry, alloy, and powercells.
Similarly, Couriers have a good chance of containing ARC motion cores, but can also contain other valuable items such as surge shield rechargers, surveyor vaults, and sentinel firing cores.
Surveyor
The Surveyor is a gold mine of ARC motion cores. Unfortunately, they're tricky to find, masters of evasive maneuvers, and covered in thick ARC armor.
My favorite Surveyor farming spot is near the Grandioso Apartments on the Buried City map, which is where I found the Surveyor pictured above. If a Surveyor is left alone for long enough, it will stop moving, their armor will open up, and it will send a blue laser into the sky that can be seen from far away.
Not only is this a great way to locate them, if you can manage to hit them with explosives while the center of the ARC is exposed, this will deal a considerable amount of damage. Showstopper grenades are another great way to stop them from rolling away.
