New year, new Xbox Game Pass departures

It's a brand-new year for Xbox Game Pass, and while January is bringing plenty of fresh games to kick things off, it also means it's time to say goodbye to a handful of titles. This month, five games will be leaving the service on January 15, so you've got a limited window to squeeze in one last playthrough before they’re gone.

First of the departures is Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, an action-RPG that mixes fast-paced combat with mythological flair as you take on gods and monsters in a war-torn world. Also on the way out is Neon White, the speedrunning shooter that blends lightning-fast gunplay with puzzle-like level design.

Road-trip survival adventure Road 96 is also leaving Game Pass. Sci-fi action fans will want to make time for The Ascent, a shooter RPG set in a dense cyberpunk world. Rounding out the list is The Grinch: Christmas Adventures, which hung around just long enough to spread a little extra holiday mischief before making its exit.

If any of these have been sitting in your backlog, now's the moment--January 15 will be here before you know it.
