Usama Mehmood is a writer who has done extensive work for previous publications, including Ranking Lists, Reviews, and even Featured Pieces. This allowed him to quickly pursue a position as an Editor during his former tenure, managing different teams and their content delivery whilst continuing to provide further expertise from his own written work.

He specializes in a variety of AAA and multiplayer titles; from spending countless hours with Sam and BB in Death Stranding to plowing through the latest raid boss with his clan mates in Destiny 2, there's a lot for him to enjoy about the gaming industry.

Money is a vital resource in most Yakuza games, and while its general value has drastically been adjusted across most iterations in the series, it feels the most important it has been yet in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Not as important as Yakuza 0, but you get the gist.

It is the main resource you'll need to purchase both Kiryu's and Mine's skills in their respective story campaigns. And if you're a brave soul or cocky veteran like me, you'll need it in high abundance right off the bat to make the game feel easier, especially if you're playing it on the hardest (Professional) difficulty.

12 Best Yakuza Final Boss Fights, Ranked

From sworn brothers to men who have nothing to lose, here are the best final boss fights in the Yakuza series so far.

Moreover, it is also required if you're looking to outsource and buy ingredients to use in the Orphanage kitchen, or looking to purchase all the necessities in the Bad Boy Dragon mini-game. For Kiryu, it has loads of uses beyond just splurging on himself.

So, with today's guide, I've got you covered on all fronts regarding this economy, as I'll be discussing the best ways you can quickly earn money for both protagonists in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties.

How to Quickly Earn Money in Yakuza Kiwami 3

Selling Plates From Orphanage Shop

On Kiryu's side of the game, the first method is a little unorthodox but involves trading for the antique plates at the Morning Glory Orphanage's store on the Bulletin Board. Specifically, these are the two Forbidden and Forbidden Plate Kiwami plates.

If you're someone who actively grinded this mode to the extent where you have a ton of free cash that you don't need to spend on groceries and upgrades at the Orphanage, well, buy one of these plates, then you can head down to the Pawn Shop and trade them for Kiryu's own pocket money.

It won't be the quickest method per se, but this is just another way to get a spare hundred thousand yen or so in your hands until you reach the endgame before fighting the final boss or even the Amons.

Winning Coliseum Battles

The Coliseum is back with the same depth of challenges as the original game. It is a returning activity from the original Yakuza 3, and here it also becomes a viable spot to earn some extra cash, but only if you reach the mid-game stages of Yakuza Kiwami 3.

This is the same Coliseum where Kiryu battles Majima in the events of Yakuza Kiwami 2, and to those unfamiliar with the third game's events at all, you won't be surprised who he ends up fighting here to get him reacquainted with the Coliseum again.

Anyway, the Coliseum is generally simple—3-round bouts, and the faster your completion time, the higher your finishing grade and the more money you get based on that grade. The bronze fights can be breezed through, but if you want an optimal earning spree, I highly recommend running the end silver or any gold rank fight; they'll be the best bang for your buck here.

Defeat the Reapers

If you remember the Hitman missions from the original Y3, well, you're in luck because they've been reworked this time around into the Reapers as Kashiwagi assigns you to go after them and track down the main conspirator.

Most importantly, these Reaper targets, much like their former counterpart, will reward you with a ton of money for defeating them. Now, I know this may come down to their difficulty rating, but trust me when I say they're your best source of money early on if you can handle taking them down then.

Depending on their difficulty rating, the cash reward can range from tens of thousands to more than a hundred thousand yen, which is perfect for us to get a quick change to spend on skills or any other important stuff you need to get out of the way in Kiwami 3.

How to Quickly Earn Money in Dark Ties

Jumping towards Mine and his bite-sized Dark Ties campaign, he also has access to the Coliseum like Kiryu, but with the Hell's Arena, unlocked soon after the first chapter in the main story. You can clear a variety of battles here, and I imagine you can get them done with ease, thanks to Mine's fast and aggressive playstyle.

However, your main attention will be diverted towards Hell's Survival mode, also unlocked alongside the arena. This is where you can earn millions upon millions of yen as Mine as you take on a whole dungeon filled with hordes of enemies and chests waiting to be plundered on their converging floors.

As I mentioned in my review of the game, the entire Hell's Survival is sort of like a Roguelite mode where Mine can grow stronger with some of the boons or new weapons and allies he can discover. So, if you feel a trial's floor is getting too icky for your liking, bail out and keep your savings intact, and possibly use them to fully upgrade Mine first.
