There is no shortage of maps for Meccha Chameleon, and while most of these maps are great to play, some are downright devious. Most maps make it pretty fair for the hunter and chameleons, giving the hunter a limited space to seek, and giving the chameleons plenty of ways to hide.

All the wholesome charm of an indie game, but with bigger teams and bigger budgets.

Of course, not all maps are like this. There are maps that make it very difficult for the hunter to track down the chameleons. There are also maps that make it nearly impossible for the chameleons to be able to hide.

When you want to mess with your friends, pull out some of these maps to really stick it to them.

10 Minecraft House

Too Many Places to Hide

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Minecraft House

The Minecraft House is massive and offers many places to hide, but that is also why it is so devious. The many textures, various nooks and crannies, and colors make it extremely difficult to find any chameleon hiding in this map.

The whistles don't even help very much, since you can be standing inside the house, a chameleon can be on the outside, and you can think the whistle is inside.

If the map didn't have an entire outside section and only focused on the inside, this map wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue, but the creator went above and beyond giving the chameleons too much space to work in.

9 Kitchen

Too Big

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Kitchen

There are large maps that people have made for Meccha Chameleon, and then there are maps that are so big that it should be a crime, and the kitchen map is one of those. The map is very misleading, with a name that sounds like it would be a singular room.

Instead, this map is an entire bottom floor of a house that is so big it takes about 45 seconds to run from one end of it to the other. There are a lot of easy places to hide as the chameleon, but the hunter gets the short end of the stick.

Finding anyone on this map is nearly impossible, and good luck noticing a whistle, as this map is so massive you barely hear them. Throw this map on whenever you want to mess with a hunter and get an easy win.

8 The Robot Room

Repeats

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Robot Room

Do you remember that scene in any sci-fi movie with androids where there is a room full of robots? Well, someone took that concept and turned it into a reality in Meccha Chameleon by making The Robot Room.

This room is full of chameleon models, making it a hunter's nightmare. What makes this map even more devious is that the models aren't solid, meaning a chameleon can hide inside one of them.

This map will have you seeing things, and it will be impossible for you to tell if someone is moving around or standing still. Lucky for the chameleons, at least.

7 FNAF Security Breach — Parts & Service

Dark

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Security Breach

Five Nights at Freddy's is a dark franchise, and it is reflected in the maps created for the various games, but there are two that stand out the most. The first of these is the Parts & Service map for Security Breach.

This devious map will have the hunter questioning where everyone is, and that is because it is fairly dark. The chameleons have no trouble finding hiding spots here, and if the hunter gets caught up searching the dark corners of one side of the map, they will completely miss the whistles of chameleons on the other side.

Shadows are typically a welcome sight for the chameleons, but this map goes a bit too far, and it can mess with the hunter fiercely.

6 FNAF SOTM Warehouse

If you thought that the Security Breach map was dark, well, the Secret of the Mimic map is even worse. There is something very devious about individuals who make extremely dark maps.

Every corner of this warehouse map is dark, making it extremely hard to see when you are the hunter. Chameleons have it easy, as they can just choose a corner and hide. They don't even need to paint themselves.

A map this dark is meant to throw off the hunters and make it so they can never spot a victim, and the creator did a great job making it a reality.

5 Where's Wally? 2

A Swarm of Wally

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Where's Waldo

The lack of details by using shadow is pretty devious, but so is adding so much detail that you can't find someone and have a hard time blending in. The Where's Wally 2 map hurts both the hunter and the chameleon.

This map must be a joke, because it is very difficult to hide, as you are forced to lay down and paint yourself into panels with extreme detail. It is very difficult even when you do have ample time to paint.

Those who do manage to blend in are lucky, but the hunter certainly isn't. The hunter must then scan these images to find a chameleon, and with all the details, it is extremely frustrating.

4 The Village

So Much to See

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps The Village

Speaking of the details, The Village map is packed full of them, and it makes things a bit difficult for both the hunter and the chameleons. It is sinister to put so many details in a map that it makes it so you can't find a proper place to hide.

When you do finally make sense of this The Village and find somewhere to tuck yourself away, the hunter will have an even harder time finding you. I played this map with some friends, and everyone agreed, there is too much going on here.

The hunter ultimately found nobody, and it didn't just happen once. The details matter, and when you throw so many in, it is just unfair.

3 PolyHouses

No Space to Hide

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Polyhouses

While most of the maps created for Meccha Chameleon benefit the chameleons, PolyHouses vastly benefits the hunters. The map lacks hiding places to the point that the hunter can find everyone by standing in one spot.

When you are playing as the chameleon, your only choice is to find a wall or object, stick to it, and paint yourself one color. This makes it incredibly easy for the hunter to stand in the center of the map and pick out the chameleons without even needing to search.

Granted, the hunter does need to move because of angles, but I was in a game where they went on the ceiling and shot everyone within a minute. That is a bit unfair.

2 Peach's Castle Deluxe

So Many Rooms

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Peach's Castle

Now that I have shown you how devious some map creators can be when creating a map that benefits the hunters, let's switch back to one that benefits the chameleons. While I love the Peach's Castle Deluxe map, it is rather unfair to the hunters, as the chameleons get a massive advantage.

The map is full of so many items that it makes it nearly impossible for the hunter to track everyone down. On top of this, the map is so large that half the time the hunter can't even hear the whistles.

When I want to mess with my friends, this is a go-to map of mine, as I have never been caught and know very few people who have.

1 Strike Zone Bowling Alley

Hidden Bodies

Meccha Chameleon Devious Maps Bowling Alley

The go-to, most devious map of them all, is the Strike Zone Bowling Alley. While at first it may seem like a great map (and it can be), it very quickly shows you how absurd it is.

Sprinkled around the bowling alley are models of the chameleons placed in various poses. You can find some disguised as bowling balls, some disguised as pins, and you can even find them on the walls and pipes.

This tricky map makes it easy for the chameleons to get away, as the hunter will be guessing whether the decoys are the actual chameleons. It is the ultimate way to mess with your friends.
