Another Xbox exclusive is jumping ship to the PlayStation 5, adding yet another reason not to buy Microsoft's console over Sony's.
In 2025, Microsoft began allowing beloved first-party franchises onto PlayStation platforms, but not every company under the Xbox Game Studios banner was forced to stick to a single console. Indeed, titles produced by Activision Blizzard are very much multiplatform. It's more the likes of Forza Horizon and Halo that had fans worried.

The next Xbox exclusive to come to PS5 will be Avowed, as revealed during the New Game+ Showcase. The PS5 port will launch alongside a large content update for the existing versions of the game.
Avowed Is Coming To PlayStation 5 On February 17
Avowed is coming to PS5 on February 17, 2026, just over a year after its Xbox/PC launch, with pre-orders live now. It's launching alongside the Anniversary Update, which adds Photo Mode and New Game + for players who have finished the game, allowing them to keep their high-end gear, while also giving enemies buffs.
The Anniversary Update is also adding new playable races for the protagonist, including Dwarves, Orlan, and Aumaua. The Quarterstaff has also been added as a weapon, mostly for the spellcaster classes who want to feel like mushroom-faced Gandalf.
Avowed was one of the most underappreciated titles of 2025, as it launched in a year full of killer RPGs that stole the spotlight. Hopefully, more players will finally get the chance to enter its mystical world and go on adventures in the land of Eora.
