Another Xbox Game Jumps To PS5 And Switch 2 Very Soon

South of Midnight will be the latest Xbox game to come to a rival system when it lands on PS5 and Switch 2 on March 31. The release date was confirmed today, following the previous announcement that South of Midnight was headed to PS5 and Switch 2 in Spring 2026.

Developed by the Microsoft-owned Compulsion Games, South of Midnight launched in April 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game is set in the American Deep South and follows the character Hazel, who, along with her mother, is preparing for a huge hurricane.

Numerous other Xbox games have landed on rival platforms before this, and one of the next big ones is Halo: Campaign Evolved later this year. It will mark the mainline Halo franchise's debut on a platform other than Xbox or PC.
