"Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned," a Borderlands 4 DLC and story pack, is releasing soon with a long list of additions including a new playable character. What to expect from 'Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned'

Borderlands 4's first story pack update is a massive update. Players who have acquired either the Super Deluxe Edition or the Vault Hunter Pack will immediately have access to "Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned," but others will have to purchase the DLC separately.

The star of this DLC is the new vault hunter C4SH. Classified as a rogue, this brand-new playable character comes with an intricate set of abilities that reflects the robot's gambler nature. When it uses its Action Skill "Sleight of Hand," C4SH draws random cards from its deck to cast spells, for example.

The "Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned" update is also adding a new map zone called "The Whispering Glacier," which will be available after you complete the "A Lot to Process" main mission in the Fadefields. However, 2K recommends reaching level 13 or higher before heading here.

Since this is a Borderlands game, no update would be a real one without new enemies to shoot and new items to loot. Story Pack 1 adds 18 pieces of Legendary Gear, three Pearlescent weapons, two boss fights, and 16 minibosses for you. Lastly, there are a ton of new cosmetics for weapons, vehicles, and the vault hunters themselves.
