Crimson Desert: Arboria Castle Strongbox Guide

There are many different types of puzzles in Crimson Desert. There are Abyss puzzles found in the sky region, Abyss Cressets found scattered throughout the open world, hidden ruins with secrets inside, the skyscraping Spires, and strongboxes found inside many buildings of the game.

Strongboxes are considered the game's minor puzzles. However, just because they are considered "minor" doesn't mean they aren't worth completing. Some of the strongboxes in Crimson Desert offer the best rewards that can help you complete quests, craft items, etc.

One of the more complicated strongboxes to open is the one located in Arboria Castle. This guide has you covered as it will explain how to unlock the Arboria Castle strongbox in Crimson Desert.

Arboria Castle Strongbox Location

The Arboria Castle strongbox can be found inside Arboria Castle in the Hills of No Return area of Hernand. When you first reach the castle, go through the entrance and take a right, continuing until you reach a yellow and red tank.

From these tanks, take a left to enter the castle and to find a set of stairs to your right. Taking this small staircase upward will lead you to the Arboria Castle strongbox, which is found in the left corner of the room.

How to Open the Arboria Castle Strongbox

In order to open the strongbox at Arboria Castle in Crimson Desert, you need to lower the cylinders by rotating the dials in front of you. The main objective here is to lower the cylinders to the correct spot, so when you press the button on the right, the cylinders raise to fit perfectly in the picture.

Starting from the left cylinder and making your way to the right cylinder, the solution to the Arboria Castle strongbox can be found below.

• Cylinder #1: Lower three times.
• Cylinder #2: Lower four times.
• Cylinder #3: Lower five times.
• Cylinder #4: Lower four times.
• Cylinder #5: Lower two times.

Once you complete the steps above, press the button on the right-hand side and then select the option to turn it to the right. It's very important that you press the button before turning it, or else the strongbox won't open.

If you end up making a mistake when lowering the cylinders, such as lowering a cylinder too many times, you can reset the puzzle by fast-traveling to the nearby Abyss Nexus. Luckily, there is an Abyss Nexus right next to the entrance of Arboria Castle.

Arboria Castle Strongbox Reward

The reward for completing the Arboria Castle strongbox in Crimson Desert is an Equipment Manual. Once you grab the Equipment Manual from within the strongbox, go ahead and open it from your inventory and select the option to examine it.

After you examine the Equipment Manual, you will learn that it's main purpose is to serve as a guide on how to operate the factory within Arboria Castle.

However, in order to actually operate this factory correctly and get any rewards from doing so, you must first have the "Restarting the Elixir Factory" quest. This quest becomes available after completing the "Queen of the Silkspun Cradle" quest.

The reward for operating the factory is the perfect elixir, which is needed to complete the quest associated with this factory. Doing this will unlock Arboria Castle as a dispatch location for your Greymane recruits.
