Crimson Desert: How to Unlock a Mech

Crimson Desert is known for having a ton of content, including hundreds of quests, complex puzzles, hidden secrets, and of course, many mounts to ride. One of the game's many mounts is a mech, which allows the player to command a robot with rocket launchers and machine guns, making it easy to gun down many enemies at once.

However, unlocking the mech isn't very easy, and it will take players around 50 or so hours (depending on how much you explore) to make it available in the game. In other words, the mech is one of the end game mounts.

How to Unlock a Mech in Crimson Desert

There is one way to acquire a mech, otherwise known as an A.T.A.G, in Crimson Desert. The A.T.A.G mech is first introduced in Chapter 10 of the main story, where the player controls it to take down waves of mechanical enemies, but it's not until Chapter 11 that players can earn a blueprint for it.

Right at the start of Chapter 11, players will unlock the "New Designs" faction quest under the Ironflame Orcs tab. The reward for completing this quest is a blueprint for a Small Kuku A.T.A.G, allowing you to craft a mech at the Mysterious Iron Pot Workshop in Hernand.

You can craft the Small Kuku A.T.A.G with the following materials: 1x Kuku Pot, 1x Abyss Cell, 5x Cogwheel, 5x Small Battery.

• Kuku Pot: Can be crafted at the Mysterious Iron Pot Workshop.
• Abyss Cell: Acquired by defeating Abyss enemies.
• Cogwheel: Acquired by defeating many different enemies.
• Small Battery: Acquired by defeating robotic enemies and pirates in Deleysia.

After crafting one of these Small Kuku A.T.A.G and showing Marek during the "New Designs" faction quest, he will give you a blueprint for the standard A.T.A.G, which is the better version of the mech. This can also be crafted at the Mysterious Iron Pot Workshop.

How to Get a High Mobility A.T.A.G

The Small Kuku A.T.A.G is just the start, as there are stronger versions of the mech that players can craft. To unlock the High Mobility A.T.A.G, players must cleanse the Sanctum of Exaltation in Pailune. In order to cleanse this Sanctum, you must first find the Witch of Kindness and start her quest.

The reward for cleansing the Sanctum of Exaltation is the Blueprint II: High Mobility A.T.A.G. This blueprint allows players to craft a stronger version of the A.T.A.G at the Mysterious Iron Pot with the right materials.

Players will need the following materials to craft the High Mobility A.T.A.G: 1x Small Kuku A.T.A.G, 400x Small Battery, 200x Cogwheel, 2x Power Core - Crown of Shadows, and 1x Core of Temperance. Below you can find how to find each of these materials.

• Small Kuku A.T.A.G: Blueprint for this is acquired by completing the New Designs factions quest.
• Small Battery: Acquired by defeating robotic enemies and pirates in Deleysia.
• Cogweel: Acquired by defeating many different enemies.
• Power Core - Crown of Shadows: Can be acquired by defeating creatures in the Abyss.
• Core of Temperance: Can be acquired by completing puzzles in the Sanctum of Temperance.

After acquiring the High Mobility A.T.A.G, which is stronger in every aspect, you will have officially acquired all the ways to create a mech in Crimson Desert.
