You don't need to kill every Bleed Bandit

In Crimson Desert, there's an early side quest in the House Roberts storyline called "Sealed in Stone." It comes immediately after defeating Marni's Excavatron, and it has one objective: defeat the enemies around Karin Quarry. Above the objective on the HUD, there's a meter and percentage that depletes with every Bleed Bandit you kill.

The problem is, it goes down really slowly. Each enemy is worth .5%, give or take, so logic states you need to kill approximately 200 foes to clear the quarry entirely. This is how I did it, and it took me around 20 minutes of non-stop slaughter. Little did I know, I missed a massive shortcut, and chances are, so did you.

Thanks to Reddit user Glittering-Lunch1778 for this comment on a post satirizing the quest, as it reveals a key piece of info: you don't actually need to kill individual enemies to complete the objective. Above the objectives, three locations are listed: the Infirmary, Timber Warehouse, and Barracks. Turns out, if you focus on destroying those structures, it will take away 33.3% of the total at a time.

Given how many upvotes the comment has, and how popular the overall post is that references slaying all the enemies one by one, it's a safe bet that the overwhelming majority of Crimson Desert players made the same mistake. In everyone's defense, objectives and mechanics being purposefully obtuse seems intentional in this colossal open-world game, so it's easy to assume the locations simply mean you need to kill enemies at those places, not destroy the buildings themselves.

Since Crimson Desert's combat is one of its strengths, though, some players aren't too annoyed about doing it the long way. "Getting to slime 300 plebs, Dynasty Warriors-style, was fucking bad ass," explains Murarkey, while SBoySEA called it "good practice to understand the combo mechanics."

This isn't the only quest that works in this manner, so if you encounter another but can't find the buildings you need to destroy, use the Blinding Light ability with your weapon. This will highlight the specific locations you need to destroy in red… if you can get enough time amid the enemies trying to stab you.
