Crimson Desert: Root's End Puzzle Guide

As you explore the Abyss, the sky region of Crimson Desert, you will encounter complex puzzles that can be pretty tricky to complete. While difficult, these puzzles are worth completing as all of them reward you with an Abyss Artifact, an essential item that helps with character progression.

One of the earlier puzzles you will find in Crimson Desert is Root's End, a giant structure hovering high up in the sky. In order to solve Root's End, players need to make their way inside, avoid lasers, and turn the power back on to the center cog.

Root's End Location

Players can reach Root's End after completing the Ethereal Pathway puzzle in the Abyss region of Crimson Desert. Ethereal Pathway is one of the first sky platforms you encounter during your playthrough of the game.

From Ethereal Pathway, continue across a series of platforms and keep making your way forward until you discover a giant structure in the sky. This structure is Root's End, so use Force Palm to launch yourself into the air and glide over to it.

Root's End Puzzle Solution in Crimson Desert

When you first reach Root's End, you'll notice that there is not much going on compared to other Abyss puzzles. However, the actual puzzle of Root's End is inside the large structure that you're standing on, so the objective is to find a way in.

To get inside, make your way over to the metal grate in the middle of Root's End. This metal grate can be opened, but only by crouching and using Force Palm on it. Jumping and using Force Palm downward here will not work, and you must be crouching.

After opening the metal grate, you'll start free falling through a long corridor filled with lasers. The best way to avoid taking damage here is to glide down slowly and take your time, flying through the gaps in the lasers.

Once you reach the ground floor, you want to grab the battery that's floating high up in the room. This battery is too high up to grab it from the ground, so you'll have to jump and use Force Palm to get high in the air, and grab it with Axiom Force while midair. Once you grab it with Axiom Force midair, make sure to press the pull button to bring it down with you.

Now that you have the battery, place it in its slot nearby and punch it into place with Force Palm. This will activate a teleporter in the room that you can stand on to be transported back outside.

Now that you are back outside, all you have to do is grab the floating battery on the right side of the staircase and Force Palm it back into its slot.

With the battery back in the correct slot, the center cog of Root's End will be ready to activate. Make your way to the center of the cog and use Force Palm downward to punch in its center, officially completing the Root's End puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Make sure to grab the Abyss Artifact that appears after completing the puzzle, as this is an important item that can be used to upgrade your character, improve weapons, etc.
