There are plenty of puzzles to be found in Deltarune Chapter 5, from simply growing flowers to bizarre perspective-shifting shenanigans.

One of these puzzles is found when you enter the castle for the first time. You’ll enter a fox-themed chamber, just north of the main Café, where you’ll need to find a bunch of foxes who’ve hidden themselves as various objects.

Anything is possible with the power of friendship!

The odd thing is, you only need to find 3 of these foxes to continue on with the main story. The eagle-eyed among you will have seen the door to the far left, with symbols of 5 foxes above, and are wondering what on earth could be behind it? Well, let’s take a look at those fox locations and uncover the secrets that lie behind the special door!

The First Fox

Deltarune Fox 1

Chances are, the first fox you will find is the one directly to the right as you enter the fox chamber.

Walk to the right where you see the paw-shaped projectiles rising up and down. Head all the way to the end and grab the item chest.

On the way back, through the gaps in the walls, you’ll notice that one of the paw projectiles is actually a fox, the gap circled in the image above. Simply let the projectile hit you, and you’ll be awarded with your first fox upon exiting the screens.

The Second Fox

Deltarune Fox 2

Now you can enter the room in front of the main entrance. You’ll find yourself atop a large platform with dozens of those plant-warrior statues.

The next fox will be waiting in this room. You’ll have to chase it around, first to the top-left and then to the top-right. The fox will then return to its starting location and leave through the way you came, awarding you with another Fox.

The Third Fox

Deltarune Fox 3

The next Fox is waiting in the room to the northeast. Avoid the NPC or simply defeat it, and then enter the room.

You’ll see a large white screen with a bunch of fox shadows bouncing around behind it. You can press the button here to raise the screen. Walk behind it and begin to remove the bouncing objects one by one. Keep going until you find the fox.

The Fourth Fox

Deltarune Fox 4

From there, head back into the statue room, and this time head to the northwest. You’ll need to push aside the statue indicated in the picture above to reveal a hidden doorway. Once inside, simply interact with the screen to get the next Fox.

The Fifth Fox

Deltarune Fox 5

The final fox can be found in the main statue room. This time, head to the far southeast. You need to push the statues off the platform to reveal the Fox's location. The statue is indicated by the gap in the image above. Once you’ve done this, you will have 5 foxes and can proceed to the 5 Fox door.

The Fox Door

Deltarune Fox Coin

Once you have all 5 foxes, you can proceed through this door. And you’ll be awarded with a chest containing a Pink Coin.

Once you have collected 10 Pink Coins, you can proceed to the shop located on the Cliffs and purchase a Mystery Key, which unlocks the entrance to Chapter 5’s Secret Boss!
