If you’re a lover of Easter Eggs, or just eggs in general, you’ll know about the secret eggs that are hidden in each chapter of Deltarune.

What do these eggs do, though? That’s the question. Well, in all honesty, not that much. They give you access to some special dialogue and change little bits and pieces throughout the chapters, but all in all, they’re just a fun bit of extra gameplay for the fans.

Anything is possible with the power of friendship!

That doesn’t mean they won’t have some kind of hidden impact in the future, though. Special Egg ending, anyone? Let’s take a look at the egg in Chapter 5 and how to get our hands on it. We’ll have enough for an Omelette in no time!

Wheat on the Clifftop

Deltarune Dash Gate

Firstly, you’ll need to head over to the Cliff area with the tall yellow wheat/grass. You can get here super quickly by heading to any fast-travel door and selecting the shop option in the Cliffs menu.

Head up the stairs, and then when you reach the shop, head east to find the grassy section. Head through the grass until you reach the archway that initiates the running sequence.

Here, you’ll have to run back and forth, cutting down all the grass. Once all the grass is cut, and you run through it again, you’ll notice that one little piece keeps appearing. You need to cut down this blade of grass 5 times, and eventually you’ll see a little blue balloon pop out.

Run back and head west, following the journey of the balloon as it is carried by the wind. Once you pass the screen transition, you’ll find yourself in a completely new zone.

Annoying Dog Flower Puzzle

Deltarune Dog Can

You’ll find yourself in a flower-shaped room, with 6 little flowers where each of the petals would be. The Annoying Dog can be found here, suspended by a balloon, floating from flower to flower.

You need to interact with each flower, just as the dog descends towards it. Every time you successfully complete a flower, the dog will get faster, forcing you to keep up.

Deltarune Watering Grass

For me, the dog travelled in the following pattern: Southeast, Northeast, Middle-bottom, Middle-top, Southwest and finally Northwest. Upon completing all 6 flowers, a Watering Can will spawn in the middle of the room.

You need to take this watering can and water the grass on the far left of the room to create a path. When you grab the can, however, the dog will try to take it from you. Wait until he’s floating on the right-hand side of the screen before you water the grass, and you can complete this in a single try.

Head into the new room, and go around the back of the tree. Speak to the mysterious person, and you’ll be granted the egg! You can then find the egg in your Key Item slot. Interacting with it does, as you can imagine, nothing!
