Murillo Zerbinatto is a contributor from Brazil. He's an RPG enthusiast (with a focus on JRPGs) who has been around the world of games and content creation for more than five years now. He has a particular love for Final Fantasy and has absorbed all the content this long-running series offers, including its obscure spinoffs such as Dimension I & II, Explorers, and My Life as a King. While playing RPGs is already a time-sinking endeavor, Murillo doubles down by being a platinum hunter as well.
If Red Dead Redemption is the western-themed version of GTA (with a bit more restraint), have you ever wondered how a game following that same Rockstar blueprint would function if set in medieval times? Enter Rustler (Grand Theft Horse).

Rustler is this week's giveaway on Epic Games. But you'd better get a move on and hop on your steed quickly, because if you want to keep this medieval title for good, you have to claim it before the offer ends at 16:00 GMT on January 29th.
An Inaccurate but Pleasing Medieval Setting
Described by the developer Jutsu Games as a "historically inaccurate medieval setting," Rustler lets you sow the seeds of chaos as The Guy. From the get-go, you can engage in everything a medieval resident would love to do if they had infinite lives: inquisitions, witch hunts, burning weeds, or catapulting a cow.
The Guy is a poor peasant, and when you're at rock bottom, the only way is up. To climb the ladder, you'll need to complete a variety of missions for several lords. Or not. Maybe you just want to participate in cage fights or join a sect. The medieval world is yours for the taking.
Rustler currently has a 79% positive rating from 1,121 users, which is solid enough for a premise like this. It may not have the finesse and attention to detail that Rockstar games bring to the table, but it certainly provides a ton of fun. And come on, it's free! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, especially since you'll be stealing plenty of them soon enough.
Featured Discounts
In addition to free games, the Epic Games Store also offers weekly discounts on select titles. This week's star of the show is Destiny 2, which is offering 55% and 30% discounts on the Edge of Fate and Renegades expansions, respectively.
These add-ons come in all shapes and sizes. You can buy the Destiny 2: Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition, which includes both expansions plus ornaments and catalysts, or simply the Ultimate Edition Upgrade for the expansions individually.
