There is no denying that Resident Evil Requiem has a lot going for it. With the game being a great combination of psychological horror and survival, it is easy to get hooked for those who like things on the spookier side.

If surviving has proven to be difficult, there is a means of remedying that, and that is through the use of charms. Charms are in-game items that you can attach to your weapons or hold on your person that will increase your abilities, and some of them are very useful. Let's break down the most useful of these, so you know which ones to take with you.

11 Eye Spy Charm (Grace)

Remove Your Barriers

Resident Evil Requiem Eye Spy Charm

The Eye Spy Charm increases the likelihood that you will survive fatal damage, which is great in theory, but unnecessary overall. Since this charm is only for Grace, you won't be using it on Leon, who is the character you will be fighting most of the zombies with.

With Grace, you are more likely to be cautious and watch your surroundings, making this charm useless unless you go running into danger. Nevertheless, you can get this charm by defeating Chunk in the care facility, which is done by using one Hemolytic Injector and two shots from Requiem.

10 Trusted Companion Charm (Leon)

Clair Returns

Resident Evil Requiem Trusted Companion Charm Clair

There are two Trusted Companion Charms in Resident Evil Requiem, with both Grace and Leon getting one. The Clair version of this charm is specifically for Leon, and it isn't the greatest.

This charm increases bullet penetration, but the amount of damage your guns deal, combined with the fast-paced shoot-em-up gameplay of Leon's story segments, makes this charm almost pointless, as you won't need to worry about bullet penetration.

You get this charm by purchasing it from the bonus content shop using your challenge points.

9 D.S.O. Emblem Charm (Leon)

Forgettable

Resident Evil Requiem DSO Emblem Charm

The D.S.O. Emblem is one of those charms that you can completely forget about, as it won't be needed. This charm increases your precision and critical hit rate.

In theory, this charm is fantastic because you will deal more critical hits, but the issue is that it doesn't matter too much. The increase in critical hits won't make too much of a difference, and your precision is already great with Leon.

This is a charm that you don't need to unlock, as Leon automatically has it when you start the game.

8 Power Shades (Leon)

Wesker?

Resident Evil Requiem Sunglasses Charm

In a slight nod to Wesker, we have the Power Shades Charm, an item in the game that increases the power of Requiem by giving it limitless bullet penetration and increasing the last bullet in the chamber.

To sound like a broken record, this is another charm that is great in theory. The bullet penetration won't come into play much, but the increased damage will. Fortunately, there is a better charm for Leon's massive side piece that offers a bit more damage.

If you want to get your hands on the Power Shades Charm, you will need to solve Barry's puzzle in the police department and open the STARS office case.

7 Mr. Raccoon Charm (Grace)

Deluxe

Resident Evil Requiem Mr. Raccoon Charm

The Mr. Raccoon Charm is one of the few charms that Grace can get her hands on, making it a bit more worthwhile for its effect. While this charm is in your inventory, it increases your precision and critical hit rate, just like the D.S.O. Emblem does for Leon.

This is more meaningful for Grace since she shakes while aiming her weapon, making it more difficult to hit zombies. Not only that, but the critical hits matter more since you have limited ammo.

Unfortunately, you can only get the Mr. Raccoon Charm if you buy the deluxe edition of the game.

Grace's sections are infinitely harder than Leon's in Resident Evil Requiem, but there are a few ways to make it easier.

6 BSAA Emblem Charm (Leon)

Go Away Chris

Resident Evil Requiem BSAA Emblem

The BSAA Emblem Charm is when we start to get into the more useful charms in the game. This charm increases the firepower of whatever sniper rifle you equip it to, but it only works when the scope is not equipped, making it a little less useful than others.

Thankfully, there is the Marksman A-1 sniper rifle that you can purchase while playing as Leon, which has decent aim at long range without the scope, but requiring the scope to be removed puts you at a slight disadvantage during certain parts of the campaign.

You can obtain this charm by opening the BSAA containers found in Raccoon City while playing as Leon.

5 Stakeout Takeout Charm (Grace)

Kotetsu

Resident Evil Requiem Stakeout Takeout Charm

One advantage that Leon has over Grace is that his hatchet can be repaired. Grace mostly needs to rely on makeshift knives that will break, but if you purchase the Kotetsu from the special content shop, you get a knife that has infinite durability.

The Stakeout Takeout Charm increases Grace's knife power and durability. While using Kotetsu, the durability doesn't matter, but the knife power certainly does, and it makes her farm more deadly, being able to kill zombies with only a few knife hits.

The Stakeout Takeout Charm is obtained by killing the large chef zombie in the care center and accessing the pantry using his key.

4 Cute Bear Charm (Leon)

Ada's Keys

Resident Evil Requiem Cute Bear Charm

The Cute Bear Charm can only be used on shotguns, but it increases the shotgun's mid-range firepower. Unfortunately, this sacrifices close-quarter potency.

As someone who uses the shotgun for mostly mid-range attacks, this charm is quite deadly and amplifies the power of my shotgun. For those who want to only use the shotgun up close and personal, it won't be the best.

To obtain this charm, you will need to loop around the back of the police department and check the parking garage.

3 Rugged Rookie Charm (Grace)

Baby Leon

Resident Evil Requiem Rugged Rookie Charm

The Rugged Rookie Charm is the final charm for Grace in Resident Evil Requiem, but it is also the best charm for her, as it gives her a solid increase to her firepower. The best part is that there are no strings attached.

Grace suffers from not being able to upgrade her weapons, so a charm like this is a game-changer for her, as it allows her to more easily take out zombies throughout the game.

To obtain the Rugged Rookie Charm, you will need to purchase it from the special content shop for 6,500 challenge points.

2 S.T.A.R.S. Emblem Charm (Leon)

Chris, Again

Resident Evil Requiem Stars Emblem Charm

The Stars Emblem Charm is a nod to Chris, Jill, Barry, and all the members of the organization from past games. This charm can only be used on automatic guns, but it increases their firepower.

While the downside of this charm is that it causes more weapon sway, but that is hardly noticeable, making it more than worthwhile to have equipped on any automatic weapon you happen to be hauling around.

To obtain the Stars Emblem Charm, you will need to complete Barry's scavenger hunt in the Raccoon City Police Department.
