GGMods Spring Modathon Starts April 13

Game mods have become a significant part of the gaming community, thanks to talented creators and, well, their incredible work. Over the years, these creators have kept some of our favorite titles like Skyrim and Fallout relevant in modern times through game mods. Apart from the visual upgrades and new features, game mods have also introduced fresh and relevant content to such titles.

Honestly, the modders are one of the primary reasons why several titles are considered evergreen. The developers may have moved on to other games, but the modders never let go of their love for their favorite titles. Sadly, though, despite their passion for the craft and their incredible work, the modders often struggle to bring their vision to life. Well, that's going to change now. With the launch of GGMods on April 13, the modders will not only get monetary benefits for their work, but they'll also get the opportunity to take their skills to the next level.

GGMods Kicks Things Off With Spring Modathon

As part of the grand launch, GGMods is hosting the Spring Madathon, a month-long event for creators to create and share mods. The event will run from April 13 to May 11, 2026. During this time, GGMods will be giving impressive rewards to the most downloaded mods. Along with that, there will be weekly rewards for the most thematic mods in each game, and the winners will be decided by the platform's judges' panel. So yes, there's much for the creators to do during the Modathon event, and the rewards will certainly play a motivational factor.

However, it's important to note that only five games will be a part of Modathon. And to make sure that one of your favorite games is among the top five, you (the creator) will have to submit mods for the particular game up until April 12. Not only that, but the creators can also recommend their friends and fellow creators to submit mods for that game before the deadline. That's because the top five games with the highest modcount by Sunday, April 12, will take part in Madathon.

Modathon Has A Lot To Offer To The Creators

Alright, alright, let's talk about the rewards because "rewarding the creators" is what Modathon and GGMods is all about. Firstly, we have the weekly $100 USD reward, given per game to the most thematic mod that week. A new theme will be designated each week during Madathon, and the mod that best embodies the theme will take the cash prize. Then, the GGMods will award the $50 Steam gift card to the most-downloaded mod during the week. Finally, there's the grand prize of a whopping $1000 for the most downloaded mod in each submitted game ($5000 in total) during the event.

How To Take Part In The Spring Madness Modathon

• First things first, make sure you create an account on GGMods.
• Then, make sure you upload mods that are new, which means these mods shouldn't have been distributed before. Yes, work on something fresh, and if you're going for the most thematic mod, ensure that the submitted mods are inspired or is fit for the weekly theme.
• Make sure to tag your mod with "Spring Madness 2026 Modathon."
• Finally, and this is the most important one, don't be shy. GGMods is kicking things off by giving the creators a great opportunity, so if you have the talent, just go for it. Also, Modathon is just the beginning, because GGMods will host several other amazing events after it.
