As players find themselves more acclimated to Infinity Nikki's region of Itzaland, subsequent updates are bringing even more adventures and activities for Nikki and Momo to embark on. The Life as a Poem seasonal update (2.1) includes one especially ambitious activity that's definitely worth the time and effort to complete, in terms of the experience and the rewards that come after.

The activity in question is the Behemoth Guardian Project, one of Infinity Nikki's most in-depth ones to date. As its name suggests, the initiative involves raising a young behemoth fawnling, specifically the one you interact with during the season's exclusive questline. There are a lot of bells and whistles to learn and keep track of, so here's how to complete the Behemoth Guardian Project in Infinity Nikki.

How to Unlock Behemoth Guardian Project in Infinity Nikki

To unlock the Behemoth Guardian Project in Infinity Nikki, you first need to complete the 'Life as a Poem' exclusive questline in the Elderwood Forest. Thankfully, the behemoths you encounter during these quests are entirely docile, so you won't need the Sound of Leaves outfit this time around.

Once you finish the final quest, Nikki will assume guardianship over the behemoth fawnling, and a special area near the Forest of Slumber called the Warmfur Home will be designated for raising it.

You can teleport to the Warmfur Home directly at anytime via the Forest of Slumber warp spire, which is right outside its entrance. The map will also have an icon specifically for the behemoth fawnling and the memory sprout shop there, and you can track either of those as needed.

The Behemoth Guardian Project is a permanent addition to the game, so there's no need to worry about missing out on this unique feature after the 2.1 (Life as a Poem) seasonal update ends.

How to Name Your Behemoth in Infinity Nikki

One of the first things you can and should do for your behemoth fawnling in Infinity Nikki is give them a name. Interact with it at the Warmfur Home to bring up its profile, and near the bottom will be a space for you to write the fawnling's name.

Be aware that once you confirm your behemoth fawnling's name, it cannot be changed under any circumstances, so choose wisely.

How to Increase Behemoth Fawnling's Attributes in Infinity Nikki

infinity-nikki-behemoth-attribute-menu

The bedrock feature of your behemoth fawnling's growth lies in its four main Attributes. They include Strength, Intellect, Emotion, and Curiosity. Your goal is to improve the status of those attributes from a C ranking (where they start) up to an A ranking. There's a variety of ways to earn points towards those attributes daily, including:

  • Following your Daily Schedule of Growth Events for each attribute
  • Inviting the behemoth fawnling to use each built facility in the Warmfur Home
  • Using Flavor Essences in their Main Dish meal each day

Many of these options also affect their Affinity and Mood as well, so make sure you're always maintaining a healthy balance. Do activities that help restore the fawnling's Mood when it's too low, and engage in ones that provide a substantial Affinity boost each day.

In addition, while it doesn't pertain to its stats and attributes, you can also groom the behemoth fawnling just like other animals in Itzaland for crafting materials.

How Daily Schedule Works for Your Behemoth Fawnling in Infinity Nikki

infinity-nikki-daily-schedule-hud-location

The Daily Schedule is the main feature of the Behemoth Growth Project, as it's what facilitates your fawnling's phsyical growth from one month to the next.

The Daily Schedule menu can be opened via the large yellow icon in the bottom right corner of the Raise menu (seen above). This will then open the Daily Schedule menu, where you can organize the activities you want your fawnling to do over the course of the current month. You can choose up to four activities from the tabs on the left side of the menu, and note that each tab corresponds to a specific attribute. In other words, some activities focus on building Strength while others focus on Curiosity.

Each of these activities requires a use of Mood points, so choose carefully. You don't necessarily need to fill each slot with an attribute-focused activity. You can opt to choose a Companion Event instead from the bottom category, such as 'Hide and Seek', to help recoup the points used.

Your goal is to successfully raise the fawnling to maturity at 16 months, and each time you complete a Daily Schedule, a month will automatically pass. In other words, you need to complete a total of 16 Daily Schedules to help your fawnling reach maturity.

How to Build Facilities for Your Behemoth Fawnling in Infinity Nikki

One of the next major steps to setting up Warmfur Home for your behemoth fawnling is to build a variety of small facilities around it to suit the creature's daily needs. These range from play areas to a steaming bath and, of course, a giant cozy bed for them to sleep on. Building each of these facilities requires a small contribution of various traditional crafting items (as seen above).

Interact with the Construction Boards in each designated facility area to view and make the required contribution. Once you build a facility, it will immediately be ready for you to use with your behemoth fawnling, provided that they're next to it. To get them to follow you to a facility, play the wooden recorder via the ability icon on the bottom of your HUD ('X' key on PC, 'L3' joystick on controller, or tap the Recorder icon on mobile).

Doing these facility activities not only helps restore the fawnling's Energy and Mood, but also helps increase their attributes. Each activity gives different attribute boosts, so make sure that you're paying attention to the ones you pick and the order you do them in. Also, you can only perform each facility activity once per month (or Daily Schedule cycle).

Furthermore, as your behemoth fawnling grows bigger, you'll need to upgrade each facility with more material contributions to accommodate for its size. Note that each facility has a minimum attribute requirement for upgrading it, and the larger versions also require more Energy to use.

How to Purchase and Use Items With Your Behemoth in Infinity Nikki

As you earn Growth Marks from the various activities and objectives around Warmfur Home, you can, in turn, use them to make purchases at the Memory Shop via the Memory Sprout in the center of the area, or the Raise menu with your behemoth fawnling.

There are different kinds of items you can purchase, such as Fun Toys which unlock new Growth Events that can help improve your behemoth fawnling's Mood and Affinity.

Furthermore, you can buy Behemoth Dress-Up items that are not just cosmetic glow-ups for your companion. They also act as buffs, such as permanent increases to its maximum Mood gauge, or a percentage boost to Affinity-Gaining Efficiency.

This is also where you can purchase Flavor Essences to provide attribute buffs to the Main Dishes you feed your behemoth fawnling.

How to Raise More Behemoth Fawnlings in Infinity Nikki

infinity-nikki-behemoth-reunion-timer

As it turns out, raising one behemoth fawnling to maturity isn't the end of your adventure with the Behemoth Guardian Project. In fact, you can raise multiple fawnlings in the same fashion, and there are various growth endings you can unlock, depending on how you raise each one.

To obtain another behemoth fawnling after you finish raising your first one, you'll first need to wait for the timer on the "completed" fawnling to expire before you can invite another one in. You also need to make sure to experience a reunion with the fawnling you previously raised before you can move on to the next one. To do that, open the Recorder Journal and select 'Call for Reunion' when it becomes available.

infinity-nikki-grown-behemoth-interaction

From there, travel to the designated spot for the reunion and play the wooden recorder to summon the fawnling, which is now fully grown. After the reunion is over, open your Recorder Journal and select the 'Welcome a New Companion' option to use your wooden recorder again to summon a new behemoth fawnling, heartwarmingly escorted by the previous one you raised.

This time, you can select two attributes to boost preemptively with 200 Talent Points, so choose them wisely.
