Drift tap is a skill in Forza Horizon 6 where the tail of your car must touch a wall while you're drifting.

It's also part of the winter set of daily challenges in the Horizon Decades series in the Festival Playlist, which means you'll have a limited amount of time to learn how to drift tap. As even regular drifting is a challenge in itself, adding a skill on top of that may be even more challenging. However, there's a relatively easy way to perform a drift tap, even for players who don't know how to drift.

Here's how to drift tap in Forza Horizon 6.

How to drift tap in Forza Horizon 6

To drift tap, you need the back of your car to tap a wall while you're drifting. While drifting is difficult, there's a surefire method to drift tap without needing to change any of your settings.

First, we recommend going to the Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge Drift Zone as there is a long solid wall that follows the majority of the drift zone, and other cars are invisible (as long as you start at the beginning of the drift zone).

Second, you can complete this challenge in any car, but it will be a bit easier in a car meant for drifting or a faster car. If you're fortunate enough to have gotten the Lotus Evija Forza Edition, it's a great car to use here, but you can even do this in a Honda Acty with no modifications if you wish.

Drive your car over the white line along the outer wall in second or third gear. Then, tap your e-brake by pressing A/X on controller or Space on keyboard, and slightly turn your car away from the wall until the rear end of your car taps the wall.

If you're in a slower car, we recommend going downhill rather than uphill as it'll be a little easier for your car to pick up speed.

To complete the Bouncing off the Walls challenge, you need to perform three drift taps. Drift taps can't be done consecutively. Instead, you'll need to wait a few seconds before you can drift tap again, so you may need to go through the Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge a couple of times until you perform all three.
