Christian has over three years of experience writing in the gaming industry, including guides and reviews, for publications such as DualShockers, Attack of the Fanboy, and PC Invasion. He has been an avid gamer since he was a kid, viewing it as the best possible art form and medium. Some of his favorite genres include Survival Horror, Soulslikes, and RPGs, but he finds joy in almost any type of game.

The most important items in Crimson Desert are Abyss Artifacts, items that can be used to increase your character's stats, unlock new skills, and even upgrade your equipment. Since Abyss Artifacts are used for pretty much everything surrounding character progression, you will need a ton to tackle all forms.

However, even though Abyss Artifacts are essential to progressing in Crimson Desert, they are not the easiest item to acquire. Getting a ton of Abyss Artifacts will take work, but knowing the best ways to get them will reduce the amount of time, required exploration, and effort.

If you are struggling with finding Abyss Artifacts and need some guidance on the best ways to acquire this elusive item, this guide is for you. Here's the fastest ways to get Abyss Artifacts in Crimson Desert.

Clear Out Enemy Camps

Liberating enemy camps Crimson Desert

One of the fastest ways to get Abyss Artifacts is by clearing out and liberating enemy camps. Each time you kill an enemy in Crimson Desert, the yellow meter on the left of the minimap increases, and once the meter is completely filled up, you will earn one Abyss Artifact.

Exploring the map and liberating any camp or fortress you come across is one of the fastest ways to stockpile Abyss Artifacts. Luckily, the map will show you the locations of camps that need to be liberated, which are represented by red buildings.

Also, speaking of filling up the meter to earn Abyss Artifacts, make sure to kill as many enemies as possible during the main quests that involve fighting waves of enemies. While you can complete a good number of these objectives by running straight to the waypoint marker, I recommend sticking around and killing all enemies you encounter. I did this and came away with four Abyss Artifacts in one mission.

Complete Sealed Abyss Artifact Challenges

Sealed Abyss Artifacts Crimson Desert

As you explore the world of Crimson Desert, you will find many Sealed Abyss Artifacts. These items can be found on small stone structures scattered throughout the world, and are represented by a small purple icon on your minimap. Remember, the purple icons only appear if you're near the Sealed Abyss Artifact.

Picking up a Sealed Abyss Artifact will unlock a challenge, and completing said challenge will reward you with an Abyss Artifact. These challenges can be viewed from the "Challenges" tab in the Journal section of the main menu and usually involve completing simple tasks such as killing a certain number of enemies with a bow, riding a horse for 100m, killing a certain number of enemies within a certain time frame, etc.

Each time you complete one of these challenges, you can go to the Sealed Abyss Artifact in your inventory and unlock it, rewarding you with Abyss Artifacts. Since each challenge is pretty straightforward and can be done fairly fast, acquiring Abyss Artifacts through this method is pretty quick.

Complete Greymane Rumor Quests

Rumor Quests in Crimson Desert

As you progress through the story of Crimson Desert, you will naturally unlock Greymane Rumor side quests. These quests involve following up on a rumor to find the locations of comrades and bringing them back to camp. These quests are incredibly fast and simple, only requiring you to go to a specific location and talk to an NPC.

However, even though these quests are super simple, every single one of them rewards you with an Abyss Artifact. In other words, make sure to constantly check the Faction Quests tab in the journal log to see if there are more rumor quests to be done, so you can easily earn more Abyss Artifacts.
