While the early access story content in Subnautica 2 only lasts for around 10 hours, it will like take you at least double that to find all of the available resources the game has to offer. One of the tougher resources you'll be required to find is called Creature Enamel, and it's used in the process of creating Enamled Glass in Subnautica 2.
Fortunately, as long as you know where to go on Proteus, you can farm a solid amount of Creature Enamel. However, that location is hidden behind the story, so let's dive into exactly where to find this rare resource.
Creature Enamel Location In Subnautica 2
To even have a shot at harvesting some Creature Enamel, you'll need to have built the Tadpole and the Wakemaker. By default, the Tadpole can only reach a depth of 250 meters, and you'll likely need to go deeper than that to loot Creature Enamel, so that's where the Wakemaker comes in.
With your Tadpole and Wakemaker, both preferably fully charged, you'll want to also pack the Sonar Resonator, as that's the only way to harvest the resource. Finally, it's a good idea to bring extra healing supplies, food, and water, as the trip can be long and treacherous.
When you head out in your Tadpole, you want to bear due east from the starting lifepod, following the 105 heading on your compass at the top of the screen. Creature Enamel is located roughly 1,400 meters east of the lifepod and around 260-280 meters down. You'll have to head all the way through the high-temperature biome for this trip, meaning you need to have the Heat Tolerance Adaptation unlocked.
Beyond the high-temperature biome, go down to the Alien Ruins site, which you should have marked on your mini-map if you're in need of Creature Enamel in Subnautica 2. Creature Enamel is located around the Alien Ruins, but you'll first encounter it just beyond 1,400 meters directly east of the lifepod, as you can see in the screenshots below.

Creature Enamel can be spotted by looking for long, white tubes that stick out from dark rocks on the outside of cliffs. Once you find one of these formations, equip your Sonar Resonator and blast the dark rock, which yields three Creature Enamel.
While you can find a healthy amount of Creature Enamel 1,400 meters from the lifepod, the best farming spot for the resource is around 200 meters beyond the Alien Ruins. Here, you'll have no trouble gathering as much of it as you need.
Be careful, though, as there are Needlers all around these areas that will hunt you down if you're spotted. It's a good idea to bring Distraction Flares so you can get them off your back while trying to harvest Creature Enamel and other resources in this biome.

How To Use Creature Enamel In Subnautica 2
Once you've harvested your first bit of Creature Enamel, the crafting recipe for Enameled Glass will become available at a Fabricator. Enameled Glass is a key ingredient in crafting the Depth Module Mk. 1 for the Tadpole, which allows you to dive beyond 250 meters with the vehicle. Naturally, this is a near-requirement to complete the story in Subnautica 2, as you have to dive past 300 meters to complete some objectives.
However, Enameled Glass is also used to upgrade the Scanner to the Bioscanner, craft the Feedback Resonator, make Strike Armor, and build the Haul Chassis for the Tadpole. So, you'll want to grab as much Creature Enamel as you can carry in a single trip, as it's required for several important late-game upgrades in Subnautica 2.
