Mithril is Hytale's most elusive resource. You may have had your eye on a magnificent set of mithril armor for a while, but even if you've dug into the deepest underground lairs of the Devastated Lands, you won't find it. Still, there are ways to dress as a mighty Lord of Moria, though you'll need your keyboard rather than a pickaxe.

Here's how to get mithril in Hytale.

Where to find mithril ore in Hytale

At the moment of writing, there are no natural mithril deposits in Hytale. This means that, unlike resources like copper, iron, and thorium, you won't be able to find any mithril in Adventure Mode, no matter how far you walk or how deep you descend. However, there is a way to get some Hytale mithril anyway — if you're willing to bend the rules a little.

To obtain mithril in Hytale, switch to Creative Mode. If you started your game in Adventure Mode, here's how to switch:

Type "/op self" and press enter.
Press the "O" button.

That's it! While in Creative Mode, open the item menu and type "mithril" in the search bar to see every mithril item in the game, including mithril ore and mithril ingots. You may grab your mithril gear set straight away, or use the furnace to smelt the mithril ore, first.

Once you've grabbed some mithril, simply press "O" again to activate Adventure Mode. If you don't want to use Creative Mode as a shortcut, keep in mind that mithril should likely be added to Hytale soon — some of its crafting recipes are already in place, after all. Without mithril, adamantite is currently the strongest resource, followed by cobalt.
