Luckily, you can make it easy to try for a baby in Paralives once you understand a few key details regarding how the romance system works in general, and how to control groups of Paras instead of one Para at a time.

Try for a Baby in Paralives

First, select the couple you want to have a baby. Have them start a conversation and wait for the little meter to fill up, giving you the option to control the direction of the conversation and the way the relationship progresses. When you have the cards to choose from, you want to focus on building the romantic relationship first. This means picking any flirty or romantic cards, such as options to kiss or wink. Ideally, you'll have the Storyteller pop up with the option to give the Paras a plus one to Lovers.

When the Paras have a decent romantic relationship, you have the chance to get the conversation option to ask if the Para wants to have children. This card has a percentage on it that tells you how likely the Para is to agree. When you pick the card, a wheel appears and its arrow spins. If the arrow lands in the green section, then the Para agrees to have children. This will unlock the option to try for babies whenever you want to for this couple.

From here, you can either wait for the conversation choice to try for a baby right now, or you can select both Paras and interact with a bed, which will now have the option to try for a baby.

Pregnancy and Birth in Paralives

After trying for a baby, you'll have the option to take a pregnancy test when you interact with a toilet. This lets you know if the attempt was successful, which then gives your Para the Pregnancy status. Right now, your Para being pregnant doesn't change a lot, but they may experience symptoms like morning sickness, lowering their mood due to the discomfort.

Each trimester lasts for about a day of in-game time, and at the end, your Para goes into Labor. In the current version of the game, this means you're just waiting for the Labor status to count down. You can't do anything to speed it up or send the Para to the hospital. Once the status counts to zero, the baby will be born and appear on the floor.

Babies are reliant on older Paras to care for them, but when they're in a crib, you can select them and have them go to sleep on their own. Beyond that, you need to watch their needs and make sure to feed, change, and interact with them to keep them happy.
