How to get the White Bear mount in Crimson Desert

17 hours ago 4

The White Bear mount in Crimson Desert doesn't just look intimidating; this sturdy polar bear can actually be a great help in combat. On top of that, the White Bear jumps higher than a horse and is decently fast, so you've every reason to track it, defeat it (no way around that, unfortunately), and exchange its White Bear Claws for a new steed.

As tracking this polar bear in the snowy mountains is quite hard, here's where to find the White Bear legendary mount in Crimson Desert and how to claim it.

White Bear mount location in Crimson Desert

Before you try to get the White Bear mount in Crimson Desert, it's important to know that you'll need to have access to any witch beyond Sylvia. You'll unlock Elowen after completing "The Missing Seal" quest in Chapter 5, so make sure to progress in the story if you haven't met the Witch of Wisdom yet.

To get the White Bear legendary mount in Crimson Desert, you must travel to the northwest part of Pailune and find the abyss nexus between the Five-Finger Mountain and Silver Wolf Mountain. It's northwest of the Longbranch stronghold and the Mountain Valley Ruins puzzle.

The White Bear is just a short walk south from the abyss nexus. To claim it as a steed, you must kill it — though at least you can spare its cubs, who will flee as you approach.

Beware that the White Bear is a tough opponent, so be sure to upgrade your skills, gear, and abilities as much as possible before attempting to kill it. During the fight, it's especially important not to get grabbed by the White Bear, but if you do, be ready to complete a quick-time event (mash the button displayed on the screen).

If you need a somewhat easier way to defeat the White Bear, though it's quite a nuisance, you can run up the nearby rocks, shoot arrows from there, and fly down when the bear gets too close. Rinse and repeat.

Once you've killed the White Bear, skin the body to obtain the White Bear Claws. You'll need to take the White Bear Claws to any witch except for Sylvia, and select the "Craft Abyss Gear" option. Swap to the "Special Items" tab by pressing C on the keyboard or R2/RT on the controller, and you'll be able to craft the Sigil of Solidarity (White Bear).

After crafting the sigil, it will move to your inventory. Use it to unlock the White Bear legendary mount. You can now call your new mount by selecting it on the character selection wheel (F1 on the keyboard or holding down the D-pad on controllers).
