Gather Wolfram From Chunks and Meteorites

Two of the main ways you will collect Wolfram Ore early in the game are by collecting it from chunks and meteorites. Both of these methods will get you smaller amounts of the ore, but they will help you get established, so you can build your base.

Around meteorites, you will typically find chunks of ore resting on the ground. Wolfram Ore appears as a reddish color, allowing it to stand out from other resources in the area.

Gathering Wolfram Ore from chunks will typically get you around five of the resources. Similarly, you can collect Wolfram Ore directly from meteorites.

On a meteorite, you will be able to spot Wolfram Ore by its distinct reddish color. Meteorites will typically have at least one spot of Wolfram Ore.

Each spot on a meteorite will typically get you around eight Wolfram Ore, making it great for the early game. Of course, you will need to find a way to get more of it later on.

Obtain Wolfram Ore From Veins

The best way to get Wolfram Ore is by collecting it from veins. Veins are large amounts of this ore that never run out and can be infinitely farmed.

You can harvest Wolfram Ore by using your resource collector, getting around 10-15 ore at a time, or you can build an excavator. The Ore Excavator is unlocked early on and can be placed on an ore vein and connected to your base via drones to collect Wolfram Ore.

Of course, once you have everything connected, you will need to run power to the excavator so that you can collect the Wolfram Ore. You can then later connect the excavator to various structures, such as storage containers, the smelter, the fabricator, and more.

What is Wolfram Ore Used For?

Wolfram Ore is one of the most useful materials in StarRupture, which means that it has a lot of uses. First, you need this material, along with Titanium, to build Basic Building Material.

Basic Building Material is then used to craft many of the starting structures around your base. Second, Wolfram Ore is used to craft various items, such as Wolfram Bars. These are then used to craft Wolfram Wire, Wolfram Plates, and Stators.

Finally, Wolfram Ore is used to level up the various corporate factions. At first, you will simply need the ore, but later you will need to craft the various Wolfram items to level up these factions.
