The Five-Finger Mountain puzzle in Crimson Desert is one of the many mysterious energy sources you find in the northwestern side of Pailune. Close to the White Wastes Sanctuary, where you can find the special two-handed sword Darkbringer, this puzzle is part of the Ancient Ruins challenges. There are many of these spread across Pywel, from the exploration-based Azure Moon Labyrinth puzzle to the Trembling Woods puzzle.

This Ancient Ruins challenge in Pailune requires patience since the answer is reached through trial and error. However, we can make the process smoother for you by explaining how to solve the Five-Finger Mountain Valley puzzle in Crimson Desert.

How to solve the Five-Finger Mountain Valley Ruins puzzle in Crimson Desert

The Five-Finger Mountain puzzle consists of three statues and three stone blocks, which will reveal three more statues hidden behind a wall. To solve the puzzle and claim your reward, you need to raise the walls and then spin the statues so that each one is left in the correct position. You'll know when they're in the right position if you see the statues' eyes glow.

Each hidden statue is rotatable and has three different sides, with each showing a man holding a different item. To spin the statues, shoot the statue with your bow. You can control how much the statue spins by aiming at the statue's edge (for larger rotations), or to the center (for smaller rotations).

However, you'll need to shoot quickly because the stone block will move back to its original position, lowering the wall and hiding the statue.

The statues must be perfectly aligned so that they are fully visible from the front. Even if a statue is on the correct side, the game won't recognize it if it's misaligned.

Once you correctly position each statue, you will unlock an abyss cresset and receive an abyss artifact.

If you want a quick answer for the Five-Finger Mountain Valley Ruins puzzle, here are all the correct images for each of the statues:

  • Left statue: Man holding a sword.
  • Middle statue: Man holding a staff and a shield.
  • Right statue: Man holding a hammer.

By correctly aligning the statues, their eyes will start emitting a yellow glow. After you've rotated each statue and put them in the right orientation, the entrance to the abyss cresset will appear.
