How to solve the Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy puzzles in Crimson Desert

6 days ago 6

The Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy puzzles in Crimson Desert are quite, well, puzzling. One leads to a hidden teleport waypoint at your home, while the other marks an exceptionally well-hidden puzzle chamber. Even if you've already removed the vines from the broken abyss nexus, or found the hidden Dragon's Stone Chamber Ruins puzzle below, removing both mysterious energy markers takes a lot of effort.

Here's how to unlock the abyss nexus at your home and how to solve the Dragon's Stone Chamber Ruins puzzle, thus removing the mysterious energy markers from the Thinker's Meadow in Crimson Desert.

How to solve the Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy puzzles

Once you've unlocked the Howling Hill Greymane Camp, south of Hernand Castle, you will notice two mysterious energy spots in the Thinker's Meadow, the area near your home. The two mysterious energies will lead to a fast travel location near your home and the Dragon's Stone Chamber Ruins.

How to unlock a fast travel point near your home

To remove the first, the one closest to your house, walk to the small group of trees just east of your home. If you look closely, you can see that there's an abyss nexus location, but it's overgrown by vines.

To remove the vines, use Blinding Flash: Concentrate Light. On PC, you must press Ctrl and left-click, then hold the left mouse button and press Ctrl or the side button on your mouse. On a controller, press LB/L1 plus RB/R1, hold RB/R1, and press LB/L1 again.

Unfortunately, the abyss nexus is missing its core. To restore it, you need two things: A Kuku Pot and an abyss transporter piece. To obtain the Kuku Pot, complete the "Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop" quest and the "Mysterious Pot" quest in Chapter 4 of the main story.

There's an abyss transporter piece available in Crimson Desert's early game, inside the Lion's Path of Return cave just south of Hernand Castle. To collect it, however, you need the Focused Force Palm skill, which can only be unlocked through observation. To get it, follow the road in the southwest corner of the map leading west, toward the Scholastone Institute. The Chapter 4 "Forbidden Knowledge" quest will bring you to this area, though you do not need the main quest to obtain the skill. When you find the blockade on the road, observe the blue shade to learn Focused Force Palm.

Once you've got the skill, go back to Hernand Castle, proceed to the Muckroot Ranch to the south, and drop down the hatch in the small shack in the northwest. The hatch leads to the Lion's Path of Return. Beware of the two fire traps as you walk downstairs.

When you see the strange glowing wall, defeat the two crabs in front of it and use Focused Force Palm; enter "focus" mode first, then press the Force Palm button. Wait until you see the yellow glowing ball on the other side of the wall, then let go of the skill.

Behind the broken wall, use Axiom Force on the abyss transporter piece and select the "seal" option. The abyss transporter is now safely sealed away inside your Kuku Pot.

When you're ready, return to the Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy location nearest your house; open your inventory, select the Kuku Pot, discard the abyss transporter, and use Axiom Force to place it onto the abyss nexus slot. Use Force Palm to secure it in place. And that's one Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy puzzle down!

Dragon's Stone Chamber puzzle

To remove the second Thinker's Meadow mysterious energy marker, you must find the secret doorway that leads into the Dragon's Stone Chamber. First, drop down the large crater south of your house.

On the north side of this crater, about halfway up the wall, you'll find a colorful painting of a door. Equip the golden Visione helmet, then raise your Lantern to watch a memory fragment.

Push against the door to enter the Dragon's Stone Chamber. Inside, in the lower square, you'll find three circular "patterns." Rotating these patterns into the correct positions will solve the Dragon's Stone Chamber Ruins puzzle and remove the mysterious energy mark from the Thinker's Meadow. If you've extensively explored Hernand, the patterns may seem familiar. If you haven't, you'll need to use the map on the chamber walls to find the puzzle's solution.

To complete the pattern on the left, rotate the disc until the sun is at the top of the picture:

To complete the pattern in the middle, rotate the disc until the stick-like thing is slightly tilted toward the right:

To complete the pattern on the right, rotate the disc until the outer white spiral is in the lower left corner:

Once the three patterns are adjusted correctly, the Crimson Desert Dragon's Stone Chamber Ruins puzzle shall be complete. A secret door leading to the abyss cresset and abyss artifact will open. If you open your map, you'll see that the mysterious energy mark has disappeared from the Thinker's Meadow.
