This allowed him to quickly pursue a position as an Editor during his former tenure, managing different teams and their content delivery whilst continuing to provide further expertise from his own written work.

He specializes in a variety of AAA and multiplayer titles; from spending countless hours with Sam and BB in Death Stranding to plowing through the latest raid boss with his clan mates in Destiny 2, there's a lot for him to enjoy about the gaming industry.

In your time with Life is Strange Reunion, you'll either be solving the looming mystery at Caledon University with both Max and Chloe or just exploring away to see if you can uncover any optional clues or hints to take your mind off things.

Well, one of those optional things just so happens to be a silent auction of sorts that takes place during the Open Mic Night scene at the Snapping Turtle Bar. While your main objective is to learn details about the mystery from the bar's patrons, Max has a chance to win a handmade art sculpture here. And this will also net you a hidden trophy/achievement if you're going for the game's 100% completion.

Life is Strange: Reunion Review

We're truly in the Pricefield endgame with this one.

So if you want to learn all the juicy details about how you can get Max to win this bidding war without anyone getting the upper hand over her, then join me as I guide you through how to win the silent auction event in Life is Strange: Reunion.

How to Win the Silent Auction Bidding War

Make the First Bid and Attend Amanda's Stand-Up Comedy

As soon as the scene/chapter begins, you'll be tasked with talking to Amanda and Vinh to learn anything new ongoing around Lakeport and Caledon's points of interest. However, before doing that, I strongly recommend we get started with the actual bidding war here.

Easter Egg: For those who don't recognize it or haven't played that entry, this sculpture is actually handmade by Charlotte. One of the integral characters from Life is Strange: True Colors. Guess she must've passed it to Amanda for bidding at the Snapping Turtle Bar herself or through other sources.

Go to the table with the familiar-looking sculpture and examine it. You should now have the option to check any other bidding lists on the table, but most importantly, look at the Sculpture Bidding Sheet clipboard. Once prompted, add Max's bid to the sheet so she can place her stake in the competition.

For now, go talk to both Amanda and Vinh and proceed with completing your first set of main story objectives in this scene. Afterwards, go successfully attend Amanda's stand-up comedy moment without that heckler guy's interference.

Make the Second Bid and Talk to Lucas

Once you've finished up with Amanda's comedy act, make a beeline straight back to the bidding table, and you should now be able to inspect the Sculpture Bidding Sheet again to notice that Vinh has placed a higher bid. And, of course, Max isn't going to let this slide so easily, so she tries to one-up him again with a bid of $200. That should show him...right?

After placing the new bid, go ahead and talk to Lucas normally to continue with your investigations. Obviously, he gives us the cold shoulder. You'll need to rewind here, ask him about any new novels, and go check out his business card with the podcast audio clip on it.

Once you've listened to it, rewind all the way back once again, and this time, when sitting down to chat with him, you should be able to sweet-talk him with your praise of his anti-education podcast. Once Max learns all that she needs from Lucas on Fremont Street, it's time to exit the bar, but just not yet.

Prevent Vinh From Cheating and Win the Silent Auction

Don't go through that front door just yet; we need to win that auction, remember. Head back to the table and check the sheet once again, which reveals that Vinh has yet another higher bid than ours. Make one last counter-bid, and you'll then be treated to a cutscene where Vinh sneaks behind us at the last second to cheat and steal away the sculpture from Max.

Luckily for us, all we need to do is rewind just before this scenario takes place. Examining the Sculpture Bidding Sheet should now let you bid and then steal the pen to ensure Vinh won't cheat again. This will allow you to win the auction and the art sculpture, earning you the "Going Once... Going Twice!" trophy/achievement.

Oh, and a fun fact: if you're continuing this scene with the rest of your playthrough, the sculpture then also shows up in Max's house (during the Reunion chapter/scene) as a beautiful new addition to her interior decorations.
