Huge PS5 sale lets you stock up on physical discs before they disappear forever

From Marvel's Spider-Man to God of War, the sale includes a ton of PS5 bangers

Sony might be hiding from a mob that is upset about physical discs going away, but the publisher's games aren't. Right now, some of the biggest retailers around are holding some fantastic deals for the best PlayStation 5 games. Even better, these are games you can actually hold, collect, or resell — which you won't be able to do for PS5 games released after 2028.

The event mirrors the Summer Sale currently underway on the digital PlayStation Store, except at retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target. Pretty much everything included in the sale is a banger, but some highlights include:

For those of you on Switch, there's even a small discount for Lego Horizon Adventures. Overall, the physical version of the sale offers a much smaller list than what's available digitally. The selection is still stellar, though. With God of War Laufey releasing on February 16, 2027, it's a great time to pick up its predecessor. Alternatively, Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out on July 31 — but you can get a taste of the movie through Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The open world superhero action game just received an update that will let you sling some webs using the very suit Peter Parker uses in the movie.

Retailers haven't shared exact start dates, but the digital Summer Sale runs through August 12. Given the controversy surrounding Sony right now, the timing is kind of ironic. But hey, a deal is a deal!
