Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Unveils the Knights of Doom in Villain Showcase

June 2026 has just begun and with it comes a wide plethora of exciting gaming news, with some of the latest gaming announcements coming from Sony's June 2026 State of Play.

Several previously announced games had more gameplay shown off during the presentation, such as Marvel’s Wolverine, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, and Phantom Blade Zero, but one game in particular had several new features revealed.

This month's State of Play revealed the latest team roster for the anticipated fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, with the latest team, Knights of Doom, being made up of many new iconic Marvel villains.

The Members of Knights of Doom

The magic-wielding ruler of Latveria himself, Doctor Victor von Doom, was previously shown to be leading a team of fighters for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, but the members of the Knights of Doom weren't revealed until now in spectacular fashion.

Knights of Doom's second member, aside from Doom himself, is the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Magneto, voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who previously voiced the magnetic mutant in Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, Marvel Heroes, Marvel Powers United VR, and Marvel Rivals.

Knights of Doom's third member is Spider-Man's arch nemesis, Green Goblin, voiced by legendary voice actor Steve Blum, who previously portrayed the character in The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

Knights of Doom's fourth and final member is the psychotic spawn of Venom, Carnage, voiced by Five Nights at Freddy's alumni Kellen Goff, who has never voiced Carnage before, but he has previously played a symbiote in the Disney+ animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

In terms of gameplay, Magneto will be able to hurl nearby objects at opponents, whose debris will be able to enhance his abilities. Green Goblin will be able to unleash projectiles such as Razor Bats and Pumpkin Bombs, as well as deadly attacks using his glider, and Carnage will be able to temporarily infect opponents and leave them open for vicious attacks with its bladed tendrils.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' Main Threat Revealed

On top of these new villainous members added to Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' roster, Arc System Works has finally unveiled who the main overarching threat is for both Marvel's heroes and villains, with that being the immortal Champion of the Universe.

Voiced by Sean Kenin Elias Reyes, who previously voiced somewhat minor roles in Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part II, and Fallout 76, the Champion of the Universe is an underused antagonist from Marvel Comics, with the character only appearing in one Marvel show, Disney XD's Guardians of the Galaxy, and one other game, Marvel Contest of Champions.

An immortal warrior who strives to prove his combat skills across the cosmos, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls' Champion of the Universe has come to Earth to begin The Challenge of the Champion tournament and determine which team is worthy of fighting him.

If the chosen team loses to the Champion in battle, the Champion will see fit to destroy the entire planet, motivating each team to strive to win.

The previously revealed teams include:

• The Amazing Guardians featuring Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker.
• The Fighting Avengers featuring Black Panther, Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk.
• The Unbreakable X-Men featuring Storm, Wolverine, Magik, and Danger.

Only one team is left to be revealed before Marvel Tokon's August debut, represented by Robbie Reyes, Ghost Rider, suggesting that the last team may be more magic-oriented and possibly feature characters like the Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Blade, or even other Ghost Riders, considering the Amazing Guardians has two Spider-people on the team.
