Today was supposed to be all about PlayStation's big June 2026 State of Play showcase, but at the last second, Nintendo came in to say "Not so fast." Truly sending shockwaves throughout the Games Industry at large, it's now been revealed that a Mario x Crocs collab has taken place, and fans can pre-order their own pair of clogs right now.
After Two Mario Movies, It's Time to Bring Luigi's Mansion to the Screen
Luigi's Mansion needs to be the movie to expand Mario's cinematic universe.
Jokes aside, I absolutely love Mario, and I will go to my grave being a Crocs defender and believer. In fact, I've recently turned two of my best friends onto the Gospel of Croc, and they're both now fully converted as well.
Despite global success and notoriety for decades at this point, the past couple of years have seemed like Mario (Tennis) Fever is perhaps at its highest pitch ever, and these brand-new Mario-themed Crocs are just another example of his current stratospheric popularity.
Five Different Mario-Themed Crocs Coming on July 15th
Founded way back in 2002, Crocs have been producing their brand of hyper-comfortable, surprisingly supportive resin clogs for quite a while now. I've had a few pairs, and if you ask me about them, I won't shut up about their benefits and convenience. Heck, I had a recent Disney World trip, and Crocs with socks saved my feet on Day Two of theme park hopping. Don't knock it till you try it.
Anyway, as of right now on the Crocs website, fans of both Mario and comfy clogs alike can choose between five distinct pairs of Mario-inspired Crocs for pre-order, with expected delivery on July 15th of this year (just in time for everything you're doing for the rest of your life afterward).
I absolutely love Mario, and I will go to my grave being a Crocs defender and believer.
The Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi-themed pairs all retail at $79.99, while the non-character-themed Classic Mario clogs are a bit cheaper at a very nice $69.99. The difference in price seems to be that the character clogs all have some sort of 3D protrusion, each themed for their respective characters. For example, the Mario clogs include his iconic cap, and the Yoshis feature his dino-spines running down the front of the shoe.
For the kiddos, they'll be relegated to just the Classic Mario clogs, which will set them back $54.99 from their piggy banks.
Don't Forget Those Sweet Jibbitz
Trust me, I know what you're thinking. "I already have several pairs of Crocs, what if I just want to snag some Jibbitz to complete my Mario x Croc look without going all out for a brand-new pair?" Brothers and sisters, you are in luck, as you can also pre-order two separate five-packs of Mario-themed Jibbitz (heroes or villains) in order to deck out a regular pair of Crocs too. These Jibbitz packs are $19.99 each, and also release on July 15th.
Crocs and Nintendo have also said that in addition to being able to pre-order from the Crocs website directly, they'll also be available in-person at the Nintendo store, as well as at select wholesale partners around the world.
Real talk, I really do think these are some of the coolest collaborations that Crocs has done in their ever-growing list of licensed partners. We've seen NFL teams, Spongebob, Dragonball Z, Fortnite, and several other iterations of Crocs at this point. But at the end of the day, Mario is cooler than any of those other options. We all know it. Time to show it on your feet. Let's-a-go... to comfort.
