If those events weren't enough, another event was added with the second Bounty Pack DLC, Legend of the Stone Demon. This event is called Ordonite Processing, and it requires you to collect Ordonite from enemies in the area and toss it into a mechanism.

Let's break down everything you need to know about the Ordonite Processing event in Borderlands 4, and how you can get all the rewards.

Ordonite Processing Event Locations

Borderlands 4 Ordonite Processing Event Map

The first time you participate in the Ordonite Processing event will be while you are traversing The Demon's Domain as part of the Legend of the Stone Demon DLC. During this time, you will see a mechanism on the floor of the cave system that starts the event.

After completing the event in the cave system, you will have access to it in three different locations on the map. These are:

  • The Fadefields: In a field to the southwest of Shut Eye Keep.
  • Carcadia Burn: In the Yawning Yard section of the region, to the south of the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse.
  • Terminus Range: Against the mountains to the south of the Heritage Opus Safehouse.

Each of the regions of the map has one of these Ordonite Processing events, with each one being called Ordonite Up. It is important to note that if you do not interact with the machine in the DLC cave, you will be unable to start these world events.

How to Complete the Ordonite Processing Event Ordonite Up

Borderlands 4 Ordonite Processing Event Start

You get a basic rundown of the Ordonite Up event while completing the Legend of the Stone Demon DLC, with the event taking place inside the cave. After this, you can interact with the handles in the locations stated above to start the event.

When you start the event, you will need to pay 200 Eridium, as this is the cost of the event. If you do not have this, you will need to farm for it.

When you pull the lever, the processor will activate, lifting it into the air. Underneath it will be a sort of suction effect. Your goal is to collect Ordonite and toss it into the machine for processing.

Ordonite is being carried by enemies called Load-Bearing Rat-A-Tats. They have Ordonite containers on their backs, making them fairly easy to spot, but they can get lost in the chaos.

Borderlands 4 Ordonite Processing Event Crystal Enemy

At first, you will need to throw in three containers, then five, then seven, for a total of 15 containers. You will have four minutes in total to collect enough containers to complete the mission.

If you fail to get the number of containers required, the event will end, and you will not receive any rewards. I recommend completing this event with friends, as this makes it much easier to complete.

After each wave of the event, there will be a larger enemy that appears. This enemy will have crystals sticking out of them. Similar to the bosses from the DLC like Bore-Tex, you will need to destroy the crystals before you can damage these enemies.

Killing these enemies is important, however, as they seemingly block progress in the event. Once you have put in enough containers, you will be required to kill the rest of the enemies to complete the event.
