For Pal trainers everywhere, Palworld's 1.0 release finally brings the beloved creature capture game full circle and out of early access, notably without a price increase despite an influx of even more content. That content includes various new areas scattered around Palpagos, along with countless new items, weapons, base constructs, Pals, and more. This way, even frequent players who have been around since the game's debut have plenty to do alongside newcomers.
One of the most striking new locales in the game, which floats high in the skies above the mainland, is Sunreach. If you're wondering how to go about, well, reaching this new area, here's how to get to Sunreach in Palworld, along with what all you can find up there.
How to Access Sunreach in Palworld
Sunreach is one of the most unique locations that you can explore in Palworld as part of the game's landmark 1.0 release. However, getting there isn't necessarily a cakewalk (depending on your progress). Thankfully, there are a couple of different ways to go about it.
The first way you can get to Sunreach is by following the events of the main story. Up to this point, you should have access to Feybreak and all of its content, and that's where your objective lies. You'll need to defeat Bjorn and Bastigor at the Feybreak Tower, which is located on the very southern edge of Feybreak Island in the southwest corner of the world map at -1288, -1664 (seen below). Per our guide on this particular boss, his element of choice is Ice, so fire Pals are your friend in this scenario.
Once he's defeated, a mysterious portal will unlock at the top of his tower, where you'll be automatically transported after your victory. Simply interact with this portal, and you'll get the prompt to 'move to a different altar'. Select the 'Yes' option, and you'll then be teleported all the way up to Sunreach, specifically on the east side of it near the Enchanted Firmament. You can speak to the nearby Sunreach Citizen NPC to get more insight on the area and continue the main story via the Hope Springs Eternal main mission.
The other method to get up to Sunreach, regardless of story progress, is more of a DIY approach. In other words, fly up to the floating archipelago yourself. Rest assured, there are no anti-aircraft towers to rain on your parade there. You'll need a formidable flying Pal with enough stamina, such as Jetragon or Suzaku, and a crafted saddle to ride them. With that, ride them manually up to Sunreach from a safe and close launch point, preferably somewhere on the southeast side of Feybreak Island.
What to Do at Sunreach in Palworld
Sunreach is one of many new areas added as part of Palworld's 1.0 release, and one of the largest from an exploration standpoint (second only to the World Tree). It features an incredible variety of locales across its many floating islets, along with plenty of new and familar Pals, and bringing Ultimate Pal Spheres or better (e.g. - Exotic, Sol, Ancient) is recommended. There are also dungeons, and a Tower Boss looms in the center of the region, where you'll find Auri and Shaolong waiting for a worthy opponent.
There are also new crafting materials to farm here, such as Soralite, though note that it can only be mined with a unique tool called the Plasma Multicutter (Level 54 Technology) that you'll need to construct first. You'll need several resources for that, such as Cryogenic Coolant, so make sure to get your Lamballs in a row before you set out on the grind.
