Pokémon Go 'Blanche's Quest for Knowledge' event guide

Pokémon Go is hosting three events based on the team leaders for the next few weeks. Up first is Blanche, with "Blanche's Quest for Knowledge," which runs from May 26 until June 1.

This event focuses on a particular group of Pokémon, with the star of the show being the Lapras wearing a "Blanche-themed accessory." This event is also Field Research-based, incentivizing you to go out and, well, complete research for knowledge. As usual with events now, there's also a battle pass for this event that features the aforementioned Lapras, alongside some other rewards.

This event features a Go Pass with 60 ranks. Notably, you can earn encounters with Pokémon like Sinistea and Lapras (wearing the Blanche-themed accessory), just from completing the usual tasks: winning raids, hatching eggs, and catching Pokémon.

If you hit certain ranks, you'll unlock bonus perks for the remainder of the event:

• Rank 10: One additional candy for evolving Pokémon, increased chance to get Candy XL for evolving Pokémon (if you're level 31+)
• Rank 20: Doubled Incense duration

You can also opt to pay $4.99 to upgrade to the deluxe pass, which includes rewards like Glacial Lure Modules, Rare Candy, and an additional encounter with the costumed Lapras.

• Complete 7 Field Research tasks (Sinistea encounter)
• Explore 1 km (Cubone, Horsea, or Staryu encounter)

• Trade a Pokémon (Sinistea or Tandemaus encounter)
• Use an Incense (Sinistea encounter)
