Pokémon Pokopia has its own little prank day on April Fools' Day (April 1). Throughout the day, Pokémon will be imitating other Pokémon, and you'll get a special reward for guessing who they're imitating.
This event is only one day long, starting at 5 a.m. on April 1 and running until 4:59 a.m. on April 2, based on your Nintendo Switch 2's system clock. You can time travel to access this event freely.
Below we explain how the April Fools' Day event works in Pokopia, as well as show off the reward you get for participating.
How the April Fools' Day event works in Pokémon Pokopia
When you interact with the PC in front of a Pokémon Center, you'll get notified that something special is happening today, and you should talk to Pokémon to see what's going on. Notably, in your challenges, you'll see a special challenge that requires you to answer three special quizzes correctly in exchange for an inflatable Sudowoodo item.
These special quizzes are actually Pokémon doing impersonations. You'll want to seek out Pokémon with "..." in speech bubbles above their heads. When you talk to them, they'll say something, and you'll need to guess between which two Pokémon they're imitating.

Unfortunately, it's near impossible for us to serve you the correct answers to all the potential quiz questions, as the answers depend on which Pokémon you have in the area. Based on our experience, Pokémon will only imitate other Pokémon that live in the same region. This means if you're talking to Pokémon in Withered Wasteland, they'll only imitate other Pokémon that live in Withered Wasteland.

If you get an answer wrong, don't worry. There should be plenty of Pokémon doing imitations around, so you'll get a ton of tries to get the required three correct answers.
Pokopia April Fools' event reward
For getting three answers right, you'll be able to claim the inflatable Sudowoodo item from the PC challenges screen. This is a Sudowoodo version of the "wacky inflatable arm" things you sometimes see at fairs and car dealerships.

If you're starting out in Pokémon Pokopia, we have guides to help you spruce up your island. We have both a Pokédex and Habitat Dex to assist in figuring out what can spawn where, and what you need to build to summon your favorite creatures. If you're feeling overwhelmed, you can also check out our beginner's guide for some early tips and tricks to help smooth out your journey.
We also have walkthroughs for the important requests that progress the story: "Yawn up a Storm!," "Brighten Things Up!," "Time to Party!," and "Build the Huge Building!" If you're looking to play with friends, know that there are restrictions for the regular Pokopia multiplayer and for the GameShare version.
