'Reunion' quest walkthrough in Crimson Desert

4 hours ago 2

The "Reunion" quest in Crimson Desert invites you to explore the area northwest of the city of Hernand after reaching the Lioncrest Watchtower and defeating the bandits inhabiting it. Part of Chapter 2, "Golden Breed," "Reunion" will have you following a cat and learning some new skills to unravel the secrets of an ancient ruin.

Here's how you complete the "Reunion" mission in Crimson Desert and how to solve the puzzle in the ancient ruins.

Find the child and follow the cat

The "Reunion" quest in Crimson Desert starts as soon as you finish watching the memory fragment inside the Lioncrest Watchtower.

After you leave the tower, walk towards the gate to start a short cutscene. Rulupee, the kid who asked for your help retrieving their cat Jiji in Hernand, returns to thank you.

After the cutscene is over, they'll have you follow Jiji. Rather than tracking Jiji through the plants and foliage, hold A (Xbox), X (PlayStation) or Left Shift to follow Jiji. Kliff will do most of the work, but there are instances where he might get stuck on a rock or a cliff, so make sure to quickly move out of the way and start following Jiji again.

The cat is heading north of the Lioncrest Watchtower to a place called Ancient Ruins.

Accessing the Ancient Ruins

Once you reach the entrance of the Ancient Ruins, a memory fragment of a humanoid figure will appear. They will raise a part of the wall in front of you using a skill called Nature's Grasp. Use the Observe command by holding LB/L1 or Ctrl on the keyboard at the prompt to learn it.

Although Nature's Grasp has immense potential, it is actually quite limited because you can only use it on certain objects. If the Nature's Grasp button combination doesn't prompt near an object, it means you can't move it with the skill.

After learning Nature's Grasp, stand near the wall and use the skill to open the path to the inner room. Inside, there's another memory fragment that will teach you the Focus skill, which allows you to recharge your Spirit by pressing both analog sticks on the controller or X on the keyboard. Focus is going to be useful for the next step.

Unravel the secret of the Ancient Ruins

In the third and last part of the "Reunion" quest, you must solve a puzzle to discover the secret of the Ancient Ruins. The puzzle consists of three large discs on the wall, and you need to punch them using Force Palm in the correct order to make all three light up. Remember to use Focus to replenish your spirit as you spend it using Force Palm.

If you want just a tip on how to solve this puzzle, remember that whenever you press one button, the adjacent buttons will also move. If they are pressed, they become unpressed, and vice versa.

Here's the order you must punch the discs:

  1. Middle
  2. Right
  3. Left

After connecting the circuit, go outside the room and find another kid wearing green called Bilwise standing on the edge of the cliff. Talk to them to complete the quest.
