Sonic The Hedgehog 4, The Fourth Entry In Less Than A Decade, Is Now Filming

The fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie is now in production, Oscar-nominated director Jeff Fowler has announced with a photo from the movie's set. The photo shows Fowler holding a hammer, and this appears to be reference to the character Amy Rose, who will be voiced by Kristen Bell.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set for release in March 2027, so fans still have to wait a while to see it. Fowler directed the previous three Sonic movies and is coming back for the fourth.

The cast for Sonic 4 features Ben Schwartz returning to play Sonic, with Bell coming aboard as Rose. Dr. Robotnik actor Jim Carrey stated that he's "definitely open" to returning for another sequel, but it remains to be seen if he'll actually be in it. No other casting or story details are available.
