Spider-Man/Superman 2026 crossover exclusive — a shocking new team-up revealed

The duo is one of many exciting pairings to be featured in the one-shot

Marvel and DC recently teamed up for Superman/Spider-Man #1, a crossover bringing together the worlds and supporting casts of the two heroes. The crossover train isn't stopping there, however. Later this month, a second book with more team-up adventures will be released, and Polygon can exclusively share a page from a backup story starring Ghost-Spider (aka Gwen Stacy) and Supergirl.

Current All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider writer Stephanie Phillips is joined by artist Phil Noto (Uncanny X-Force, Daredevil) to bring Ghost-Spider and Supergirl together. They'll "form an unbreakable bond on a high-stakes adventure," according to the official story description. In the page below, they team up to confront DC villain Livewire, who was originated in the '90s cartoon Superman: The Animated Series.

The crossovers starring Spider-Man and Superman come after Marvel and DC's 2025 collaboration on two one-shots that showcased Batman and Deadpool crossing paths. The back-up stories were highlights from those books, like the one that found the Guardians of the Galaxy's Rocket Raccoon enjoying the power of a Green Lantern ring.

The DC Comics-published Superman/Spider-Man #1 went on sale last month. The main story was about Spider-Man and Superman teaming up to fight Doc Ock and Brainiac, and its back-up stories featured exciting and unexpected pairings, like the Punisher and Power Girl demonstrating how risky blind dates are in a story by Gail Simone and Belén Ortega.

Marvel's Spider-Man/Superman #1 will feature a bevy of must-read back-up stories from an all-star line-up of comics talent, like the Ghost-Spider and Supergirl adventure. Miles Morales co-creators Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli reunite for a story featuring Miles and Superman, while Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman revisit the War of the Realms with Mighty Thor (Jane Foster) and Wonder Woman repelling a symbiote invasion in Metropolis.

You won't have to wait long to see all that Spider-Man/Superman #1 has in store. The one-shot crossover hits comic shops on Wednesday, April 22.
